No es un hotel. No era confortable.
Pros:

Bien ubicado. Está cerca de calles comerciales y no lejos del centro. El taxi no fue muy costoso.

Cons:

Yo reservé pensando que era un hotel y me encontré que era un alojamiento turístico. Las claves de acceso las facilitan por Whatsap, necesitando para ello datos o wifi, dan la contraseña en el mensaje, ningún contacto personal. Si no tienes datos, tienes que situarte en las proximidades para descargar la información La habitación estaba en el tercer piso, tuvimos que subir y bajar el equipaje por una escalera estrecha ya que no hay ascensor. La habitación consistía en una cama con las sábanas sin planchar!, una mesa con dos sillas viejitas, y un aseo muy justo. La habitación era muy calurosa.

Pros:

The location was perfect. It had tons of restaurants nearby which was convenient and close to the cruise terminal for us to go to.

Cons:

I wish there was AC or at least a fan. Being on the 3rd floor, it was too hot to get a good nights sleep.

Nice central hotel
Pros:

I needed a room near the centre of the city as I was catching a flight early the next day. The hotel was in a good location and access via codes sent before arrival was hassle free. My room was spacious and very clean with a nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Although the hotel is near a load of pubs and restaurants I wasn't disturbed by any noise. For the price I was very impressed.

Hell on earth, don't waste your money

This felt like a HMO, the walls are paper thin, the bed was 20 years past its sell by date and the matress was so uncomfortable. The people above me were so loud it was just unbearable I had to leave at midnight and seek alternative accommodation elsewhere. The worst accommodation ever and I have backpacked in India!

Great location, great facilities great price
Pros:

Great location, easy to access close to bars and restaurants. This accommodation was modern clean and tidy.

Cons:

The only thing I would’ve liked was maybe a Chair and maybe for the radiator to be hotter as I had it on max and wasn’t that warm

Perfect to explore the great shopping facilities in Southampton
Pros:

Perfect little getaway for me and my daughter- great shopping in Southampton. This is probably my 6th stay at John Street. Staff are responsive, cleaners are lovely, very accommodating. I will be back.
