Schöner Aufenthalt in Stykkishólmur
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, nur 5 Minuten vom Hafen entfernt. Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer.
Unser Zimmer war hübsch eingerichtet mit schönem Gemälde an der Stirnwand.
Viele verschiedene Gemälde sind im ganzen Haus zu sehen und machen dieses Hotel zu etwas besonderem.
Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Hotel. Kleiner gemütlicher Frühstücksraum. Das Buffet war sehr gut und ausreichend.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind nur über Treppen zu erreichen, da kein Aufzug vorhanden ist.

Check-in was a disaster
Pros:

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Towels and toiletries were nice. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Check-in was a complete disaster. The code previously sent to me to access the outer door and room door simply didn’t work. As a result, I was unable to enter the building. After spending some time wandering around the building (in the pouring rain) to make sure we were in fact in the correct place, I finally called the emergency number shown in a sticker on the door.

After confirming that I was using the correct code and it still wasn’t working, the hotel representative provided me with a new code that also wouldn’t work. She finally had to open the door remotely so that we could enter the building. I was then able to open the room door using the updated code. The entire process from arriving at the hotel until entering the room took 30 minutes.

The hot water in the room was also problematic. The shower would intermittently go from warm to cold, so that half of the time there was only cold water. The water from the sink faucet had two temperatures: cold and less cold.

Great hotel in the heart of Stykkishólmer.
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the harbor. We received clear, easy-to-follow instructions for arrival, self check-in, and self check-out. There was off street parking. The facilities were clean, nicely decorated, and well maintained. We enjoyed the murals quite a bit. They added a fun touch to our stay. The hotel staff provided a nice breakfast with seating downstairs or upstairs where you could overlook the harbor.

Super small room. We’ve got incorrect entrance code for our reservation. Staff was not aware about it and it took 20 min to solve. Would not happen with key or card.

Cons:

La stanza era troppo piccola, in un seminterrrato cieco a cui si accedeva tramite una scala a chiocciola stretta e pericolosa
Non c’era armadio in camera ma solo una gruccia appesa ad un attaccapanni
Letto attaccato al muro e quindi per salire da quella parte si doveva attraversare tutto il letto dalla parte opposta
Mancava della biancheria da bagno tipo asciugamano mani
Nessun bicchiere nella stanza né tantomeno boiler per acqua o qualcosa di simile
Il rapporto qualità prezzo è inaccettabile ( la stanza costava 310€)
Colazione sufficiente: salato in buona quantità, solo caffè filtrato , poco dolce , frutta quasi assente

Das Hotel hat viel Charme, man sollte aber nicht das kleine Zimmer buchen

Das Hotel an sich ist nahezu ohne Personal - es ist nur jemand beim Frühstück und für die Zimmerreinigung vor Ort - grundsätzlich außergewöhnlich mit schönen Zeichnungen an den Wänden und einem gemütlich Balkon-Aufenthaltsraum. Der Frühstücksraum ist mit nur sechs Tischen klein, aber okay. Das Frühstück selber ist nicht üppig, aber auch okay. Das Hotel liegt direkt im schönen Ort Stykkisholmur, so dass Hafen, Hausberg, Restaurants und Supermarkt allesamt zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Guter Ausgangspunkt für eine Auto-Ganztagsrunde über die reizvolle Snaefellsness-Halbinsel.

Cons:

Wir hatten ein kleines Doppelzimmer gebucht, das sich am Ende als nicht einmal 10 Quadratmeter große Besenkammer erwies. Das war auf den Fotos der Buchungsseite nicht wirklich so ersichtlich. Alles war super eng, auch das Bad mit Toilette. Den Stuhl im Zimmer mussten wir rausstellen, um irgendwie unsere beiden Koffer ins Zimmer zu kriegen. Nasse Kleidung aufhängen? Fehlanzeige! Für eine Nacht ist es aushaltbar, dann wird es anstrengend. Dazu liegt das Hotel an der Hauptstraße, so dass morgens natürlich jedes Auto zu hören ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht, Die größeren Zimmer des Hauses sind wesentlich komfortabler, so dass man bei der Buchung gut überlegen sollte, ob man nicht doch etwas mehr investiert. Gerade wenn man mehr als eine Nacht bleiben mag.

Viva i puffins!
Pros:

Stanze bellissime a tema puffins, con disegni diversi. Posizione di fronte alla chiesa e a due passi dal porto.
Struttura molto pulita.
Colazione ottima, con tutto quanto si voglia (dolce e salato) servita dalle 7 alle 9.
Letti e cuscini comodissimi.
Tutto perfetto.

Schön gestaltet, aber zu eng.

Es ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Die Lage ist schön.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war winzig. Wir konnten uns zu zweit fast nicht umdrehen und das Gepäck passte definitiv nicht ins Zimmer!
Auch beim Frühstück war es sehr eng, kurze Zeiten und zu wenig Tische für alle Gäste.

Pas très propre. Rideaux non occultant donc on reste en plein jour toute la nuit l’été. Zéro accueil.
