Die besobders gute Athmosphäre, eine gesxhmaxkvolle traditionelle Einrichtung, ein sehr fürsorgliches, hilfsbereites Personal und ein sehr hilfsbereiter Besitzer, der uns beim Buchen des nächsten Hotels und der Bustickets sehr geholfen hat, hervorragende Küche!.
Im Aufenthaltsraum wurde extra für uns eingeheizt !
Wir werden das besondere Hotel gerne weiterempfehlen.

You will never forget this place
Pros:

The owners family are wonderful. Tsewang Gyurme Gurung is the owner and a 10th generation Tibetan medical practitioner. He speaks very good English and you couldn’t find a more knowledgeable and friendly host. His mother is very kind and warm hearted as are the staff. The hotel used to be a family home but has been converted into a hotel with 6 spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Hot water is available on sunny days as water is heated by solar power. The food is good. Location is perfect, almost directly opposite airport but quiet as there are only a few small aircraft flying in the morning and Jomsom is a small attractive town with all essential facilities. The hotel is very tastefully and respectfully decorated in Tibetan style and despite the affordable price is one of the best hotels in town. Personally I would rather stay here than anywhere else because it has real character and charm, the kind you never forget and cannot buy. I will really miss this place.

Cons:

It is cold in Jomsom when there is no sunshine but when it gets very cold there is a wood burning stove in the communal room that makes this place feel like home.

Мы просто в восторге от пребывания в отеле Dancing Yak! Сразу чувствуется, что здесь царит настоящая атмосфера уюта и заботы — буквально как дома. Хозяин отеля проявил невероятное гостеприимство: он помог нам со всеми трансферами, давал ценные советы и всегда был готов поддержать, сделать наш отдых максимально комфортным. Каждый уголок отеля продуман до мелочей, создавая ощущение тепла и уюта. Мы искренне благодарны за такой радушный приём и уверены, что вернёмся сюда снова. Если хотите почувствовать себя как дома вдали от дома — Dancing Yak это идеальное место!

The overall stay was very nice. Just the owners behavior was a but weird.
Pros:

I liked how clean and comfortable the rooms were for a house made up of mud. The staff were also very friendly.

Cons:

The checkout time.
We did not realize the checkout time was 11am neither did the staff make us aware during checkin. Exactly at 11am the next day we got a call from the owner to clear the room. Not a hospitable word. Just that we should be aware of the checkout time and should leave and that they need to make the room ready for another guest. We rushed and cleared out at exactly 15 minutes. Without being aware of this we were called and asked to leave again. Twice. I mean I do get the urgency during busy seasons but just a few polite words and a little bit of professionalism from the owner’s side would have been nice.

Great stay in Jomsom!
Pros:

Cozy common area around the wood burning stove, with the host telling stories about the area. Lovely old wooden building with character. One of our most memorable stays in Nepal.

We appreciated that they allowed us to store our bikes in a secure indoor area.
