Passable
Pros:

It was close to what we were doing. It was clean. You got a bar of soap. There was a big fan in the room that worked good.

Cons:

You had to be let in and out of the hotel by staff every time you left or came back and they kept your room key while you were gone.

There was nothing to eat at the hotel. There's a fruit stand across the street but no restaurants nearby that were open.

Pros:

it was comfortable and quiet

Cons:

they charged me an extra $40 when I checked out based on a tax I didn’t know existed and wasn’t quoted for. I was told nothing about this on check in. then they wrote to booking and said I didn’t show up and had to pay again. very confusing and dodgy.

Reasonable price for a basic but comfortable private room.

Cons:

I only stayed one night to break up my journey north. Chimbote is a horrible dirty town.
