Porto Bello hotel is very nicely located near the beach and close to Barranquilla. The pool is lovely and breakfast is amazing. But the people are the best thing about it. From Eileen (front desk) to Enzo and everyone in between: they are friendly and very helpful.

No hot water
The service. Everyone in the staff were extremely kind. Specially Mari. Also noteworthy was how helpful and attentive was Dońa Petrona. Everyone was great.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful . Breakfast was tasty and freshly made to your request based on the menu for the day.
Hotel is much smaller than the pictures portray. Room was right next to reception and you could hear every discussion. The bed made a squeaky sound with the slight movement- extremely uncomfortable if you have company. Hotel is quite old, TV is not a smart TV, you have to get up to turn off lights and walk in the dark to bed, the bed was hard. Quiet and really dark after 7pm and hotel front doors are locked. There is no hot water at the hotel. The hotel is overpriced, don't stay here. They don't even give you a shower cap or hair dryer. Extremely basic hotel charging 4 and 5 star prices
The staff were all very helpful and efficient. The room was beautiful and spacious, and the property was clean and well maintained.
The internet was so slow that it was almost useless, and there was no hot water. For the price, one should expect internet service that works well and the ability to take a hot shower or to use the "hot"-tub.

The Property is like a Mansion in style and on the main road some of the staff are very friendly and the bar tender lady (venezuelan) was very friendly the lunchtime food was of good quality and served well
Its a very disjointed hotel it dosent really know what it wants to be its a great looking property but a few staff are still stuck in the 80s and serve a breakfast of a very local colombian style i believe the hotel should really start changing to more of an international style for example we wanted on the first morning cereal but they said no but then on the second morning we got cereal fruit, coffee and thats it i would say the upper management really dont know how to manage guest expectations and are still stuck in the old fashioned ways of running a colombian business but with the right team this potienally could be a great business and a great hotel !

Beautiful place very nice people
From the outside, the property looks fine. the rooms are, however, very outdated and could certainly be much cleaner. The receptionist was very friendly. When the wifi was not working, she moved us to the main building. The food was also pretty decent.
Outdated, many items were damaged (bed, cupboard). We were offered a room without windows, at first.
