Queen Hotel Fayoum

I asked for a non-smoking room, but upon entering the room I smelled smoke, and there was also an ashtray in the room. I asked for a room-change, but was refused and staff tried to convince me, that smell is coming from a neighbouring room. There was no explanation of why is an ashtray in a "non-smoking room".
I asked for tea and coffee with breakfast, but by the time I finished breakfast in 20 minutes, I had not received them. I don't blame the staff because there were many guests and she had to serve the breakfast alone. An extra staff for breakfast would have been justified.

We were staying for one night as a family of 5. My single daughter had a single room and within half an hour of checking in a man was banging on her door and then tried to open it. She was in the shower and this would have been obvious from the noise. There are cameras everywhere and when she went into my son and his wife’s room they called to say you were not allowed to go into other rooms. This really scared her. I would not recommend for single western women.
