Paradies zum Entspannen und gut Essen!
Pros:

Super freundliches Personal. Fantastisches Essen, von Frühstück über Säfte zu Snacks und Abendessen! Die Karte ist super vielfältig. Preise des Essens sehr fair. Kostenloses Wasser, Kaffee und Tee. Service gibt es bis zum privaten Strand.

Großzügiges Zimmer, große eigene Terrasse mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten. Moskitonetz am Bett. Ventilatoren über den Betten, jedoch keine Klimaanlage zur Verfügung. Da es ein Ecohotel ist, muss das Toilettenpapier in den Mülleimer geworfen werden. Außerdem gab es kein heißes Wasser, war aber bei den Außentemperaturen nicht weiter störend.Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt.
Tuk Tuk fährt in wenigen Minuten nach Palomino. Ausflüge und Aktivitäten sind spontan und einfach buchbar.
Der Ort ist super ungestört und mitten in der Natur. Ein schöner Ort zur Entspannung! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Daisy, die Haus-gans hat uns gut unterhalten.

Cons:

Fenster im Zimmer leider nicht abdunkelbar, sodass im Dunkeln bei brennendem Licht das ganze Zimmer einsehbar ist. Dadurch leider fehlende Privatsphäre.
WLAN war leider meist instabil. Ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen!

Perfect eco retreat
Pros:

Perfect isolated eco-hotel in the vicinity of Palomino village on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The place is a cozy retreat with bungalows, relax open spaces and private beach. The location itself is very beautiful.
Nevertheless the hotel has everything a person needs, including private kitchen with the most friendly cooks, the food was delicious and satisfying. the staff overall was very helpful, they courteously organized my transfer to/from Santa Marta (it would be problematic to do alone because of the collapsed bridge on the road), did my laundry etc.
All of this for a reasonable pricing. Good place.

Cons:

Not a downside actually, but one should be advised that this is an eco hotel so it doesn't have things like air condition. Not that these are needed anyway (the fans in the bungalow did the job perfectly).
Also the location is quite remote, expect 2+ hours by taxi from Santa Marta (again not a downside, just a reminder).

Amazing setting.
The staff were superb and very friendly.
The breakfasts were superb.
Very quiet and peaceful.
Good wildlife.
Bathroom was very good.

Cons:

You can't swim here (too dangerous) but you can walk about 1km south along the beach and a small path to the river mouth which is a great place to swim.

It's a bit more expensive than normal Colombian prices e.g. beer, food.

Cons:

No poder comer en la playa o tomar las bebidas allá, debiera haber servicio a la playa! Lástima que el mar siempre está muy alto y no se puede ingresar. De resto todo perfecto.

Hay que tener en cuenta el costo de transporte del hotel al pueblo, son aproximadamente 10K por persona cada trayecto, hasta el inicio del pueblo, más allá será más caro

El paisaje y la atención. El señor José que transporta el equipaje es muy amable y Carlos del restaurante tiene una alegría estupenda, propia de su edad y es súper sociable, en todo momento hacer sentir bien al huésped.

Cons:

No hay opciones para quienes no comemos azúcares como gaseosas cero, endulzantes para tintos o cafés. Tampoco venden agua. Cosas adicionales para mejorar: señalización desde Palomino hasta la entrada.
