Pros:

Sehr gemütliche und familiäre Pension. Es waren nicht viele Gäste da, so war es ruhig. Die Zimmer sind groß und gut eingerichtet.

Cons:

Für uns waren die Betten zu hart. Auf Nachfrage haben wir aber ohne Probleme noch ein Paar Decken zum unterlegen bekommen.

Accueil chaleureux. Situé à la campagne, près de la ville et près du parc national de Taroko. emplacements parking sécurisés devant les chambres, style motel. Chambre très correcte. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas prévu.

The owner Sunny is good as gold. With a little “playground”, breakfast und turtles our kids were very,very happy. It is really close to the train station where also the busses leave for “Taroko Nationalpark”

Cons:

We knew it would be New Years Eve (week) but fireworks until 23:30h in front of our bungalow with little kids sleeping isn’t the best situation. Due to the New Years we paid a very high price.

Great location, great value, great hostess
Pros:

The hotel is cozy and comfortable with well equipped rooms and a patio that is lovely to have tea on. Easily walkable to train and bus, making Taroko visits very handy. Food and beach nearby also. But more than anything, Sunny makes you feel like you're visiting friends and just so welcome. She extends so much kindness and really went out of her way to take care of us. Loved our stay here.

Village Stay Close To Taroko Gorge
Pros:

I'm sure there are fancier places to stay in Hualien, but none will have half the character of this hotel. Xincheng has a real village feel. It is also closer to Taroko Gorge, with buses and scooter rental at the train station. Xincheng also has a big deserted beach to go for a stroll. The highlight of a stay is the proprietress - she is super helpful and friendly

Cons:

My initial impression was that, because the rooms are a little basic, the hotel was overpriced. But the service and character changed my mind

Nice stay!
Pros:

The room is large & clean and comfortable, 10 mins walk to a nice beach.
The boss is super friendly and helpful. She picked us up at the train station at our arrival, and drove us again to the station at our departure, which is really great for us especially when we have lot’s of luggages.
