Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast
Nothing really!
I had an issue with my 5 years old kid and they were extremely flexible and comprehensive with the situation.
The gesture as I mentioned much appreciated.
Terrasse pour le petit déjeuner. Amabilité du personnel. Propreté. Calme .
Salle de bain petite
The old world charm, cleanliness and friendly staff.
The hotel is set on 3 or 4 floors of an old european-style building and has been nicely restored. The rooms are not overly large but have enough room. Shower takes a few minutes to heat up but then has plenty of hot water. The location is excellent, close to Tahrir Square, but in a quiet side street. Breakfast is excellent and we had to leave early so they prepared a bag breakfast to take. Wifi is good, the staff are very nice. We would stay again.

La gentillesse du personnel et l'excursion organiser pour visiter Alexandrie avec chauffeur privé attentionné et un guide francophone extraordinaire !
Merci pour ce séjour 🤩
Great spot in downtown Cairo. Very close to Tahrir square and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Lots of access to restaurants and coffee shops with many places within easy walking distance. Room was spacious and very clean, made us wish that we had booked more days here! The little balcony was a great place to sit and eat breakfast while listening to the city.
Location
Kinda noisy
The breakfast was excellent and in this small hotel with limited space to cook fresh eggs, the staff did it! The whole crew are warm, kind, diligent and absolutely lovely. We did not want to leave for Alexandria and will recommend and return.
Nothing at all. The location is excellent, and for being so close to all things Downtown Cairo and the Metro with 2 of the 3 lines really close, it's marvellous and super quiet! Yes - in Cairo! Kiosk shop next door for many needs is a bonus.
Our stay at Eileen Hotel exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. The staff immediately welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and arranged welcome drinks while we checked in. The process was quick and efficient, setting the tone for a fantastic stay.
We were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the hotel is, especially its beautiful traditional features and authentic charm. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, with thoughtful touches such as toiletries, a tea and coffee station, and complimentary bottled water. For a 3-star hotel, the level of service and attention to detail truly went above and beyond what we expected.
Throughout our stay, the staff consistently made sure we had everything we needed. They were especially helpful in arranging a last-minute dinner cruise along the Nile, which we really appreciated. Their hospitality genuinely made us feel welcome.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. It is centrally located in downtown Cairo, just minutes from the Nile and the Egyptian Museum, making it ideal for exploring the city. We took evening walks around the area, felt completely safe, and enjoyed experiencing the local culture and atmosphere.
Before arriving, we were slightly concerned after reading some mixed reviews online, but honestly, we found the hotel lovely in every way. The staff were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent, and both the room and hotel itself had plenty of character and charm. While it may not be a 5-star luxury hotel, it offers far more than you would typically expect from a 3-star stay — especially if you are looking for an authentic Cairo experience rather than a generic luxury chain.
We enjoyed our experience so much that we are already planning to return in November.
A quick tip for anyone visiting Cairo: use Uber for getting around. It is very affordable and helps avoid overpriced transfers.
