We liked hearing the history of the building and who lived there. I would suggest a little booklet on the history, who lived there, and knowing who started Buffalo Trace.
Nothing. Everything was great.
did not get to stay for breakfast but dinner was exceptional .location was right downtown good parking easy to locate. enjoyed the history of the property.
no complaints at all
Very nice. clean but small hotel. Seems more like a BnB. The staff was great; the atmosphere was great and the smells form the dining room made me thimk of a five star restaurant.
Beautifully renovated hotel! Sorry I only stayed one night.
Low water pressure in the shower
Reserved a room with a queen bed, was put into a room with a full size bed. Not much different, but not what I reserved.
Guests should not have to check out online. Completely unnecessary.
Bar tender Kevin was excellent.
Very much NOT accommodating when asking to extended checkout by 20-30 minutes since we wanted to eat brunch at your property. Host seating guests in restaurant shrugged and said call the front desk to ask about extending our stay. How about just handling it and notifying the hotel yourself? I shouldn't have to do more work after asking a staff member - restaurant or not. Its all the same property. We had dogs in the room and didn't want them locked in if we stayed past 11AM. Getting the runaround when asking a simple request is ridiculous.
We enjoyed check in, stay and check out. Beds were comfortable. We stayed on the third floor which had low ceilings but was still comfortable.
The area was quiet but one block away there were restaurants, bars and coffee houses. They had closed done one block and had a band in the road playing. You could sit at tables on the sidewalk to listen to them while enjoying food and drinks.
Easy access
Lovely place, very large room, quite neighborhood. It was more Air B and B then hotel, as there was no staff and the restaurant wasn't opened. But they had very good communication with us!
The Ashbrook is a welcoming place I would like to see the hours of services be extended to include a full week. Also to have snack options available to guests who are staying.
It was quite and comfortabe
Stairs in the smaller rooms were a little steep
Beautiful hotel! Charming! Great location.
Accessible to everything. Walkable to cafes, restaurants, shops and POI. Parking easy. The hotels restaurant is excellent and charming. Great wine selection. Highly recommend staying here. Staff were lovely. Rooms charming and elegant. Cannot wait to go back! Frankfort, KY a charming town with lots of history.
Beautiful property, spacious room. Very comfortable bed. However no real options to unpack luggage, the only standing cabinet in the room has no hangers, no dresser, no table/desk, and only one hard chair to sit on.
Location and historic feeling of yesterday.
1st room had bugs all over the bed, was then upgraded, Went out for dinner and a concert that evening upon arrival we were locked out of the hotel and no one would answer the phone for hotel assistance. Called city police and was told they could not help because they had no officer in the area and would have no way to access the hotel or help us beyond what we were already doing! I tried to alert or awaken other guest to let us in, but no one helped or maybe they did because the police showed up saying a burglar had been reported. Shared what we were experiencing and they tried calling hotel emergency phones with same results. After four police squads showed up, someone knew someone who knew someone and finally got a code to enter the exterior doors/ which we were never given! Next, the room have no chairs to relax in, no nightstands, no dresser/chest for storage, etc. What furnishings are there appear to be from an inexpensive vendor.
Awesome place but if you go a couple blocks away it is sketchy. Food was delicious & bartender amazing!
Beautifully done historic property. Enjoyed the stay.
Upon arrival I was meet with locked door. Check-in was at card table in hallway. Was taken to room 205. 2nd floor no elevator. By the way no handicamp were present at front or rear of building. Room has one overhead light, no lamps. The TV was nonfunctional and no one from staff could make it work! Apparently, you are required to have your one subscription. We ask about parking-you are to park in street. We were also informed that rear entrance would be locked and not subject to room code to unlock the door, this was also true for front door after 11:00pm upon our return at 10:30 the was no available staff. "Advertised a fully stocked bar. There was no staff available. Had to go into kitchen to find available ice machine. Again, no sign of available staff! We got up this morning and packed already to leave about 9:30am. No available staff to get coffee or to check out.
This by far the very worse travel hotel experience that I have had in my 88 years of life! I know you will now write off my comments as a disgruntled old fart,
After reading the reviews from a month ago something weird has happened here!
