A few issues but overall a nice hotel in a good location
Pros:

Perfect location in a cool part of town and easy to get to the centre; a beautifully designed hotel with a gorgeous courtyard garden; calm and quiet (didn’t hear noise from any other guests); friendly staff, great breakfast.

Cons:

We had a few issues during our stay, which probably don’t usually happen but they affected our enjoyment and we don’t think enough was done to recognise that. First, everything is automated (entry, blinds, lights) and there were electrical faults which meant that all the lights came on twice in the middle of the night, and on two of the others nights there was a loud beep sound several times in the night, so we had disturbed sleep on 3/4 nights. When we mentioned the issues to the staff they were pleasant and tried to fix them but didn’t do any more to check if we were happy or offer anything to apologise - not a 5* experience. Second, the pool was closed because of a technical issue. These things happen, but communication around it could have been better. Finally, the staff were very friendly and quick to respond to questions but the experience overall was quite impersonal - nobody showed us to our room when we arrived, everything is automated with communication over WhatsApp - some will prefer that approach and it has its perks but it wasn’t our preference.

If you are looking for a "feel like home" hotel this is the right choice. It is situated in a small side street, in Gazi district where there are lots of vibrant bars and restaurants. It takes about 15 min walk from the hotel to Monastiraki. The staff is amazing, very kind and supportive. The room which I had was spacious and very clean with comfortable bed. For breakfast there is a board of variety of greek food but you can order some extras , e.g. cereals or eggs. And for the farewell a surprise gift. My stay at the hotel was marvellous. I definitely recommend it.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Everything was simply perfect from the luxurious and pampering suite to the high-quality breakfast served every morning.
​However, what truly set this hotel apart was the staff. The service was outstanding, especially at the front desk and in the restaurant. They really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
​Location-wise, the hotel is not in the city center, but that wasn't an issue for us at all. It’s only a 15-minute walk or a quick 5-euro taxi ride to get to the center. Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel!
Pros:

Wow this hotel is perfect for a city break - you would never believe that you were in a city once you're in this hotel. It's location is great for walking to the sights of Athens and eating some fabulous food. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the staff cant do enough for you. It was just what we needs after a busy week in Paros and I would definitely return to this hotel if staying in Athens.

Magnifique!
Pros:

Petit déjeuner excellent, avec des produits locaux de qualité et un choix interessant, ça change agréablement des buffets classiques. La literie était très confortable et nous avons même eu la belle surprise d’être surclassés. Le personnel est particulièrement sympathique et attentionné, et l’hôtel, par son charme et son esthétisme, contribue vraiment à un séjour réussi. Quartier en pleine transformation, ancienne zone industrielle cela lui donne un charme fou, contraste entre l'antique, l'industriel et le moderne à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre historique.

Cons:

Comme partout à Athènes mieux vaut rester attentif le soir, mais pas plus que dans les autres quartiers du centre.

NOT just a hotel, but a true boutique experience where architecture meets thoughtful design. Every angle, detail, and space tells a story of style and subtle elegance. NOT Hotel feels like art in motion — a place that stays with you long after you leave.

The cuisine deserves special mention. The moussaka was the best I have ever had — truly outstanding. I also enjoyed the kayanas every morning: eggs prepared to perfection, simple yet exceptional, and something I genuinely looked forward to each day.

If you are looking for a beautiful and unconventional place to stay, this hotel is definitely worth visiting. While the area outside the hotel walls is not particularly attractive, the atmosphere and character of the hotel itself make you feel truly special and fully immersed in its unique world.

The only thing I would suggest for the future is a bit more variety in the breakfast and dinner menu — perhaps a daily chef’s special to add an extra element of surprise.

As a future idea, I would love to see the offer expanded to include truly hands-on shared cooking workshops and communal meal preparation, rather than just observing. This would fit perfectly with the spirit of this place.

I will definitely return to this hotel.
