Pros:

L'hôtel est idéalement placé dans La Vallette, dans une ruelle avec peu de passage. La chambre est assez grande sans etre immense. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment bien, avec possibilité de la prendre à l'extérieur au calme.
La literie est de bonne qualité.
La piscine sur le toit est vraiment agréable, mais elle est assez petite.
Le personnel est agréable et attentionné

Cons:

S'il faut trouvé un défaut, ce serait l'absence de vue particulière. Mais ce n'est pas ce que l'hôtel promet.

Staff were exceptionally helpful, from the Manager to pool staff.
Pros:

Location is ideal, just a few blocks from the centre of the city.

My room was largely internal and had a rather musty smell, but was a good size and had good facilities.

A really enjoyable relaxing stay in Malta
Pros:

This is a lovely modern small hotel in a great quite location a short walk from central Valletta. FYI iCentral Valletta can be a bit mad at night (young).

The San Karlu staff were, without exception, professional, smart and provided great service with a smile. They couldn't do enough for you. the rooms were clean and modern . The roof top pool was a great bonus in very hot weather and pool service was faultless and good value. They also provide a really good buffet style breakfast.

Plenty to see close by and the taxi services pretty good value and buses and ferries to go further afield

Also, this hotel is part of a small chain including the nearby Gomerino with facilities you can use - as well as a small rooftop pool, same excellent staff and a quite magnificent view. Would stay with this chain again (but would make sure the hotel had a pool, I don't know if they all have one)

Central restaurants are pretty basic but we found Coogi's in Mdina for a good lunch, Ortygia (Sicilian) evening meal and for a bit more up-market try Il Horza run by James Debono for excellent and a bit more special atmosphere.

Cons:

While the rooftop pool was lovely the sunbeds became congested at peak times when the hotel was full and inexplicably they removed two of them after a couple of days - so even more limited for space!
A comment on Valletta itself - San Karlu Hotel is in a dip in a side road. Valletta's roads run in a grid system with the side roads often being steep hills or dusty (slippery) steps. We managed but choose your locations carefully if there are mobility issues ..... and the street cleaners need to up their game! ( Or perhaps each business owner take it upon themselves to clean up , just like the old days!)

La scelta perfetta per La Valletta
Pros:

Struttura nuovissima, in un vicolo silenzioso, con possibilità anche di tavoli all’esterno per la colazione. Stanza ampia e con un grande balcone. Piscina sul tetto perfetta per il relax dopo aver girato tutto il giorno. I cocktail di Isaac da gustare in piscina sono incredibili!
Il Personale è stato gentilissimo. Ci ha accolti Daniel che ci ha spiegato (in italiano) tutto ciò che ci occorreva per visitare la città e ci ha consigliato 3 ristoranti, uno migliore dell’altro!

Pros:

Daniel, Floriana and colleagues at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and gracious. I had trouble with my payment card which was very frustrating and they were patient and helped me much more than my own bank! A beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet but central location. I will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Goede plek om Valletta te verkennen
Pros:

Centrale lokatie in Valletta, gemakkelijk in het centrum te komen te voet. Kamer was groot, schoon en comfortabel. Het dakterras was een goede plek om nog extra zon te pakken.

Het ontbijt was prima. Voor ieder wat wils.

Kurztrip auf Malta
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, was super ist.
Die Mitarbeiter waren immer freundlich und nett.
Wir haben einen Gutschein für ein Prosseco beim
Check-in erhalten.

Cons:

Wir haben zwar ein Upgrade erhalten, jedoch war das Zimmer zum Innenhof ausgerichtet und hatte nur ein kleines Fenster. Da es zum Innenhof lag, konnte man praktisch nicht lüften. Ausserdem liessen sich die Vorhänge nicht vollständig schließen, sodass das Licht aus den Gängen die ganze Nacht ins Zimmer schien und es permanent hell war.
