Alta Club

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home. The accommodations were historic and unique. Cool billiard and card room. Location was very convenient and parking lot was close. Just a fun, unique place to stay. We hope to stay at the Alta Club again soon!

The staff at this hotel is the best hospitality i've ever received! They had an event going on that night and were very courteous to try and amend the situation as soon as they could. Very charming warm building and even better people working!

Parking was easy once we figured out where it was. There was construction so we missed it the first time. The room was beautiful and it was great to have coffee/tea available in the upstairs lobby where the room was. The room was super clean and comfortable. Room cleaning was wonderful! Be sure to bring business casual clothes as there is a dress code we were not aware of. Easy access to all of downtown.

The hotel has historic charm, but the old windows don’t block noise, and nearby construction makes it worse. Weekday breakfast is excellent and the staff very kind, but on weekends only a light snack (coffee and cake) is offered, which isn’t mentioned in the booking. The room was smaller and different from the photos. Overall, good service but some details should be clearer.

The Alta Club is a lovely building and the location is great. The initial gentleman who checked us in was great. Read the fine print when booking (dress codes for dinner and bar areas). Note that the included breakfast was coffee and a sweet bread the first day and coffee, small pastries and a basket of apples on the second. I did ask about this and was told that was correct. The room faced Temple Street and was loud with street noise. The window air conditioner leaving it open at the top contributed. Outlets for cell phones were only available on one side of the bed. All in all for members of this club, I'm sure it's lovely. For hotel guests, it is a little less than that.

Great Old classic club with rooms for rent. Food was great (breakfast included). Walk to everything and very safe.

We loved our stay at the Alta Club! We were attending a show at the Eccles theater, and it was a perfect walkable area. We walked for food, drinks, and the show. The club itself was so cool to look around. Our room was great, and we would go back again.

Street is noisy for light sleeper request room away from Street. Room was a bit dark, could have had brighter lighting. Staff is excellent, food is good, great historic building.
