Centrally located, with spacious, comfortable rooms, though without AC. Friendly and uncomplicated staff. A cheaper alternative if overnighting in Kandy. Nice cafe on the ground floor, selling excellent coffee and breakfast. Not cheap, but tasty.
Most rooms face the street, which is a shrieking canyon of buses and cars. Bring earplugs, or try for a room at the back. The decor is a little worn, and the place could do with a refresh.

I had a very big room for myself. It was fairly clean. Location is very central, you can walk everywhere. There is cafe just in the back patio.
It was noisy from the early morning because my room was on the main street. Probably that's not the case for the rooms on the back court. I didn't think about asking to switch because I was not staying for a long time.
Good place in an affordable amount.

Room was perfect for me. Comfortable bed, good shower, desk.
I brought my own mosquito net, because mosquitos will join after 5pm.

Very disturbing and unhealthy
Large room and large bathroom with balcony. Central area few minutes walk from the tooth relic temple. Nice staff.

I appreciate the location. Very close to the attractions and to the lake. Close to the bus terminals and railway station. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good price in comparison of what you can expect.
Very much noise outside the room due to the heavy traffic. The vehicles sound much more than in e.g. Europe and there are a lot of honking. I recommend ear plugs day and night when you stay in the room, it helps a bit but not fully.
