MarinaView room with private bathroom

It felt like the house had not been opened up for a while and checked . Only 1 towel in the bathroom and only a bottom sheet on the bed with a polyester blanket for cover .

Since this historic wood-panelled house was lovely, her attitude must be what accounted for the low pricing.
Moreover, there was no plug for the boldly advertized bath, no beach, and, worse, no outdoor fireplace. The door that previous travellers have noted was broken is still broken, and the landlady swore that she did not know and said she would book someone to fix it in the weekend. Well the following week has ended and the door still isn't fixed.
To cap it all off, when we ran out of tissue, she resupplied us with a half-used box of Value brand 2-ply.😂 I personally object to sharing tissues of all things with a mystery person, but I am also flummoxed that she thought a box of Value brand 2-ply worth shifting around.💀 I guess she wanted to recoup the money she lost when we requested for shampoo and she gave us a used bottle of Pantene? It takes either guts or being a pathological liar to outright lie about so many things and occasionally, every time we encountered one another, to our faces.

(Oh. And she quite intentionally made an obnoxious racket in the unholy hours of the morning we were to check out; she cleared her throat loudly enough to be heard through several walls. 1 star. Wtf.
She called the police because we asked her about it???? "she hit me!" I tapped you on the shoulder lady!! Tapped you, to get your attention because you were dismissing the whole thing! "they took my personal items!" IT WAS A HAIRDRYER. We borrowed her HAIR DRYER which we asked for nicely and she handed to us and took back after we finished. I can't handle liars, at least the police understood what was going on and advised us to get going first, which is what I am doing right now. Reporting to booking.com
Upon reflection it was to get us out of her house BEFORE our check-out time💀💀💀 why Karen why?)

My rating would have been a 7-8star, but I had to tone it down to a 3.

There was no heater in the room. It was freezing cold. I had to run away in a day and since it was non-refundable I lost my money. I had booked 1.5 months in advance and sent multiple emails to the property to check if can be cancelled and refunded but no one replied to my messages until 1 day before my arrival. Very poor response or was it deliberate?

there should have a fan atleast
rooms should have door lock
lights in the room should be working

The lock door doesn’t look.

They lock the door from the inside and I have turned jump the fence to get in home.

The weather in Auckland was humid and so room was quite warm however we slept with the sliding doors open
