Misleading Ownership – Be Careful
Review:
I booked this hotel through Booking.com based on the reviews and details listed on the property page. However, when I arrived, I was surprised to find that the actual owner had changed, and the person managing the Booking.com account is no longer the real owner of the property.
The current owner informed me that the previous account holder no longer has any connection to the hotel, yet the listing is still active and accepting bookings. This caused confusion and could have led to serious problems if there were availability issues or double bookings.
This situation is very misleading and unprofessional. I hope Booking.com takes immediate action to verify property ownership and prevent issues like this from happening to other travelers.
Friendly owner, tries to fulfill what visitors need, but the extra things are of poor quality. Very good location, we had a view to the pyramids from our room. Terrace on top with a good view to the pyramids as well. Good breakfast.
Although the owner is friendly, but the offers he suggests are overpriced and of low quality:
1. We decided to accept his horse carriage tour to pyramids plus Camel ride. We paid 15€ each (initial price was 20€ each the day before). Still overpriced! We expressed that we want to go inside pyramids as well. The tour "guide" picked us up and we rode to buy the tickets (he cut in line (seems that all these tour guides cut-in) and bought only entry tickets to area and not inside pyramids). Inside the area we rode around, made a stop at some worker's grave to go inside while the guide waited outside. Then he paid someone with camels so that we can get a ride. We got 1 camel as others were already "taken". So me and my girlfriend needed to switch after 10min camel ride. The guide made a few photos after the camel ride, but they were hasty and of poor quality. Then we rode back. We said we wanna go inside a pyramid and he LIED that the pyramids are closed!!! He wanted to bring us back to hotel but we stopped him and left the carriage, went and bought the inside tickets. He was disappointed with a 5€ tip, but he wasn't worth a tip. Extremely poor quality service.
2. Owner said he's making some chicken and we asked if it's possible for him to make something traditional, like koshary. He accepted. Eventually after 1-2h we saw that the koshary was ordered elsewhere and delivered to the hotel and not made inside. It was cold as well. I can understand the want to satisfy the customer's needs, but this low quality is not worth it. Owner did say he will do it himself! We paid 5€ each. Other food was good.
In December the room was cold.
Great views at the terrace to the Pyramids even they are not at the front. Friendly workers. Good food served (although is from outside just round the corner). Breakfast included (food from just round the corner). Drinks included in the dinner. AC. Hot water. Towels, bottom sheet and blankets included. Fast Wi-fi. Food can be provided if you don't want to go round the corner.
They don't accept cards. No upper sheet provided. Noisy streets until midnight (no blame to the hotel). Bottles of water provided have been refilled. Old furniture, specially doors and window. All the noise from the outside gets inside.
Our host Azizi was very accommodating and happy to help us get anything we needed. This place is definitely a gem in the Giza district, with a breathtaking view of the pyramids from the room as well as the decorated roof. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, I recommend this place with all my heart. On our next trip to Giza, we will definitely book again.
Weak Wi-Fi.
Early check in and anything I needed I got really fast and easy. All minor problems that accrued were fixed very well and fast
Staff is very good
Blankets only
I traveled alone as a woman to Egypt and had a wonderful experience. The manager, Ali, and the staff member, Mahmoud, helped me with many things. First of all, Manager Ali is always helpful and is there whenever you have questions or need assistance. I even received breakfast on my first day (breakfast is not included in the service). Mahmoud often assisted me with organizational matters; when I wanted to visit the pyramids, he arranged a guide for me and also organized transportation from point A to point B. The prices were often cheaper than if I had booked tours on my own. One evening, he even cooked a traditional meal for me, which was really great and not something you can take for granted. I often received coffee or tea, and whenever I needed something from Ali or Mahmoud, they took care of it for me. The hospitality in this hotel was excellent, and I felt completely comfortable as a woman. They were so friendly to me that I can only recommend it to everyone!
This was by far my best stay in this area so far. The location is easy to find and right next to the entrance of the Giza pyramids. My room was comfortable and equipped with everything. What really made this place stand out however is the staff. Everyone was extremely nice, professional and welcoming. They really think with you, don’t push anything on you and are really to help with whatever you request. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely come back in the future!
Ali and the other two boys are nice
There are electrical problems, it’s horrible that there were electrical shutdowns during the hot night….. you barely cannot sleep without air conditioning…..
A old man said he is Ali ‘s father and when we planned to leave, he continually ask us for money because we want to leave at around 13, even though the check out time is between 12 and 14. I appreciate that Ali lets us do an earlier check-in, but if you say earlier check in, it doesn’t mean earlier check out….
