Heerlijk rustig verblijf.
Pros:

De behulpzaamheid van Arthur. Hij tilde onze koffers naar boven. Hij waarschuwde toen er Noorderlicht te zien was.

Cons:

Ontbijt is niet erg uitgebreid.
Er werd ons niet verteld, dat er een hottub op het terrein aanwezig was. Dat lazen we later toen we weg waren. We hadden er natuurlijk naar kunnen vragen.

What a beautiful place to stay!
Pros:

Do not expect your normal place. This place is in the middle of nowhere which is most of its charm. There is a pretty waterfall right behind the lodge and the surrounding area is beautiful. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable. We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who was fun to talk with.

Cons:

The pillows were a bit flat . But is that is my only complaint, I am doing great!

Distance misrepresented
Pros:

Beautiful area, very nicely decorated, food was excellent in the attached restaurant.

Cons:

This hotel listed their hotel as 12.5 miles from Stikkyshölmar - in fact it was 120 kilometers away down a very long and bumpy dirt road. We only stayed 1 of the three nights we had booked due to the distance from our business in Grundafjordur. We tried to call the owner to cancel the 2 other nights but he would not return our calls and we were charged the entire amount.

Really great, nice quiet area with beautiful a surroundings. If you like a hotel off the beaten track highly recommend.

Skemmtilegur staður í dásamlega ósnortnu umhverfi. Frábær þjónusta.

Pros:

Staff were super friendly, great sense of humour. Helped us plan our time in Snaefellsnes as well (even helped us learn to pronounce it).

I can't eat gluten which they were able to organise for when we ate, which is lucky because there is not many other locations in that part of Iceland to eat. Rooms are nice as well

Would be great to have gluten free options labelled on the menu 😁
