Le plus bel et le plus unique hébergement que nous n’ayons jamais eu, est situé dans une grotte avec une terrasse donnant sur un panorama époustoufflant aux allures quasi lunaire. Ahmet est un hôte exceptionnel et son personnel l’est tout autant. Les petits déjeuners sont toujours délicieux et variés. Les chambres sont magnifiquement décorées. Potamia is, without question, the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. What sets it apart isn’t just the stunning setting or the thoughtful design — it’s the warmth and sincerity of its owner, who is easily one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. After just three nights, he felt more like a friend than a host. You quickly realize that Potamia is a true labor of love — a lifelong dream brought to life — and that passion is reflected in every detail.
The daily breakfast is nothing short of extraordinary. Using produce grown in their own garden alongside the best of what the region offers, each element is crafted with care and quality. Freshly baked breads, artisanal cheeses, house-made cherry and strawberry jams, decadent cakes (yes, a different homemade cake every morning!), and antipasti like olives and semi-dried tomatoes — it’s an experience unto itself. Honestly, the breakfast alone is worth the stay.
Then there’s the view. The hotel overlooks a tranquil valley dotted with ancient cave dwellings and historic ruins. Each morning, you can wander along scenic trails or simply sit back and take in the panorama from your window or the communal terraces. I often found myself torn between exploring Cappadocia or staying put just to soak in the serenity.
Originally, I saw Cappadocia as a once-in-a-lifetime destination — something to check off the list. But staying at Potamia, and getting to know the close-knit team behind it, changed that. Thanks for the memories.
Amazing place to stay, away from the busy tourist areas, each room has a beautiful view . A cave house that’s decorated nicely and thoughtfully, delicious freshly prepared breakfast, easy to park your car, very nice and clean room, each room in the house has a character and a charm of its own, multilevel with seating area in every level to enjoy the view of the mountains and the castle around it. Smart details would stay again without a doubt.

Otel ve ortak alanlar, odaların dekoru en ince ayrıntısına kadar düşünülmüş ve çok güzeldi. Bahçesi huzurlu , çalışanlar ve sahibi aşırı güler yüzlü ve samimi insanlardı . Çok memnun kaldık , Kapadokya’da şirin bir otelde kalmak isteyen herkes rahatlıkla kalabilir.
Mükemmel bir manzarada gerçek bir mağara deneyimi sünüyor ancak yataklar oldukça rahatsız ve güvenlik açısından endişe verici bir yer . Gece boyu kapı açık duruyor ve geliş gidiş kontrol eden bir mekanizma yok.
Konum olarak çok güzel bir yerdeydi. Manzarası görülmeye değer. Temizlik çok iyi ve çalışanların güleryüzlü olması bizi çok mutlu etti. Tekrar gelirsek kesinlikle yine burda konaklayacağız
Güleryüzlü, temiz bir hizmet ile beraber güne böyle güzel bir manzarayla uyanmayı sağlayan yapı modeli oldukça güzeldi. Kahvaltı lezzetli ve servis çok kaliteliydi.
Tesis mükemmeldi .Odalar cok guzel ve temizidi. Çok rahat ettik. Tarihi bir alanda , aşağısında muhteşem bir vadi var . Tesisin sahibi ahmet bey çok ilgilendi. Bir daha kapadokyaya gitsem bu tesise giderdim.
Bu otelde harika bir 5 gün geçirdik. Huzurlu, rahat, sakin ve egzotik bir otel. Temizlik ve odaların durumu oldukça iyi hergün havlularımız değiştirildi. Kahvaltı lezzetli, oldukça çeşitli ve doyurucuydu. Her odası harika vadi manzaralı açık terasa ve oturma alanlarına açılıyor. Ben hiç bir işletmede bu kadar kendi evimde gibi hissetmedim. Ahmey beye ve Salih beye ilgileri için tekrar teşekkür ederiz.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! The staff provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything I needed. From check-in to check-out, every interaction was warm and professional. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a top-notch experience!
Giriş yapmadan önce giriş saatiniz için teyit alınmakta. Karşılama oldukça zarif. Odam temiz ve konforluydu. Bölgede bir çok otelde konakladım. Misafirperverlik ve otantikliğin birleştiği bölgede son zamanlarda çok şık otellerde kalmama rağmen eski enerji kalmadığını düşünüyordum. Göreme den oldukça soğumuştum çünkü fazla ışık , fazla para kazanma arzusu bazı olguların önüne geçmişti. Bu yüzden ortahisar ı tercih ettim. İyi ki de etmişim. Otel tamamen bağımsız diyebilirim. Odadan çıktığınızda yalnızca otele özel peri bacaları alanı mevcut. Vadiye bakan bir bölge olduğu için başka otellerden bapımsız olarak size özel bir vadi vaad ediyor. Odamdaki küvet oldukça temizdi. Bazen bu kadar temiz bulamıyor olabiliyorsunuz. Burada bu sorun ile karşılaşmadım. Yeterli bir kahvaltı servisi mevcut.
