Hotel Meninx Djerba

Although the rooms look nice, the bathroom smelled like sewer and have a lot of mosquitos. I asked to change rooms, which was done - and received a room that was perfumed - but sadly also there the bathroom smelled like sewer.
As I traveled for work, I asked for an invoice every day - but the unfriendly receptionist said he couldnt give me one - although it was during office hours, he asked me to come back each time. At check out - still no invoice was provided. They promised to send by mail, which is not done till now.
It is clearly not a place for business visitors.

Issa le réceptionniste devrait changer de métier ! C’est la première impression qu’on a lorsque qu’on arrive et malheureusement il a donné une mauvaise image au séjour !
Issa est impoli, pas souriant, ni arrangeant, ni gentil !
Nous avons été nombreux à faire ce même constat malheureusement…
45 min pour accueillir les gens, pas un bonjour ni un sourire. Il nous dit d’attendre sur le côté sans donner d’explications, et insiste pour que je règle le solde (370€ en cash!). J’ai attendu 1h30 d’avoir une serviette pour profiter de la piscine en attendant ma chambre, sans informations sans essayer de trouver une solution.
Les autres sont tous très gentil c’est dommage que ce soit lui que l’on voit en premier.

Les equipements en chambre sont vetustes, on a ete obligé de changer de chambre pour prob climatisation , on a galéré avec une douche bouchée et l'eau qui deborde dans la sdb voire la chambre.
Les coupures d'eau et d'electricité nous ont fait gacher nos vacances durant les 3 derniers jours se notre semaine de sejour abec 47° de chaleur sans clim et un retour de plage sans eau pour doucher.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the maintenance team, who were unable to fix the air conditioning despite several attempts. Their lack of professionalism meant I had to endure warm, sleepless nights in a room that was simply too hot to rest in. Additionally, the bed was very uncomfortable due to an old, worn-out mattress and small, flattened pillows. To make matters worse, the bed sheets didn’t always feel fresh or clean, which further affected my overall comfort.
Another thing I really loathed at the hotel is that the reception never answer the phone and you have to go see them personally for any request. Too bad.

The room we were given already required renovation. There are also renovated rooms in this hotel, but not ours. Once, something started dropping from the ceiling. Not a big one, without damaging anything, but just to confirm statement above.

Towels were dirty... asked for new towels... they returned the same dirty towels.

The pictures are very misleading. It's not even on the beach.

No shampoo in the shower.

Balcony wouldn't lock... basically the room was accessible from the street at all times lol

Breakfast was quite bad, cheap coffee machine, not a lot of options.

Go pay a bit more money for a lot more value is my advice.

Not a minus but photos of the hotel are outdated and the room looks completely differently (better and more modern than in the photos).
