Great accommodation and experience, marred by payment issues
Pros:

The location was great, being only a short walk to the main plaza, and close to many bars and restaurants. The rooms were large, the beds were comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were generally clean.

Cons:

The biggest issue was being charged more than the booking.com confirmation. It was exactly 18% more, so I presume it was the VAT for Peruvian residents, but the venue claimed it was a 'booking.com commission' and refused to charge us what was confirmed even through we were not Peruvian residents. We managed to negotiate slightly, but we still paid more than we should have. We also tried to resolve it through booking.com's resolution process, but they were useless as the venue never responded to their emails, so they simply gave up.
