A charming, remote eco-beach retreat with stunning water, a wonderful small team and great food
Pros:

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly – it’s a small team that clearly loves what they do, and it shows. The manager in particular was always attentive and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even putting on the Germany World Cup match especially for us. The food was genuinely good, the internet connection via Starlink was surprisingly excellent, and the free use of SUP boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear was a great bonus. The water is absolutely stunning – crystal clear and truly picture-perfect. The property is quiet and uncrowded, which made for a relaxed atmosphere.

Cons:

The room was extremely small – travelling with suitcases is something to think about in advance. Despite booking a sea view room, the view was largely blocked by the roof, which was disappointing. The location is very remote – only beach, no roads anywhere – which is understandable for an island but worth knowing beforehand. The biggest downside was an ongoing construction site right next door, with constant noise from generators, power tools and chainsaws running from 9am to 5pm every day, likely due to the off-season. The staff doesn’t speak English, but a translator app works fine.

Pros:

Desayuno variado y delicioso; destaco la amabilidad de Rafael, leonardo, fabiola, gracias a ellos celebre super feliz mi cumpleaños; la zona donde esta ubicado el hotel es mucho mas tranquila y privada eso para mi fue un hit es un plan perfecto para desconectarse; para tener en cuenta por la distancia y traslado de los insumos la alimentación es costosa en el sector. gracias por todo.

El abastecimiento de agua en los baños es escaso, seguramente por la falta de acueducto.

Hermosa estadía en Baru
Pros:

La atención, prolijidad, tranquilidad, desayuno a la carta y muy buena onda del personal!

Nada malo, solo que los alojamientos ahí suelen no tener aire acondicionado, solo ventilador.

Pros:

Die Unterkunft liegt am oberen ende der isla baru, wodurch es ruhiger ist. Für mich war es ideal zum entspannen. Sie bieten super leckeres Essen an, was frisch zubereit wird, dadurch etwas mit wartezeit verbunden ist. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt. Das Zimmer ist klein aber fein.
Ich würde jedem empfehlen, die Anreise mit der Unterkunft zu koordinieren. Daher hat alles super geklappt.

The young girl in the kitchen tried is best and was transparent saying the fish was not fresh once I asked before ordering.

Cons:

The majority of the staff gave the impression of being completely unwelcoming and unwilling to work, with several people constantly on their phones. This was the most expensive place we stayed in Barú, and unfortunately also the worst experience we had in Colombia. The guy in the red shirt, in particular, was not welcoming at all.
The photos are misleading: there is no real beach in front of the property, and the towels on the few sunbeds were dirty and never changed. I even found cat feces in front of my room.
The sink in the bathroom barely worked, so I had to use the shower just to wash my hands. The room was ridiculously small, much smaller than it looks in the photos, poorly maintained, and extremely hot, with only a ceiling fan. The “sea view” was also misleading, because the straw roof blocks the view almost completely. We paid extra for a sea-view room, but in reality the view was not as advertised.

The food was unfortunately low quality and very mediocre. The same goes for the fruit juices and coffee.

Overall, this was the only truly negative experience we had during our trip to Colombia, especially considering we paid around €135 for one night. Honestly, I wonder what kind of places some of the positive reviewers, especially the Italian ones, are used to if they consider this place a relaxing paradise.

Pros:

Great food, very kind staff, beautiful beach. It's part of the Playa tranquila which has a bad reputation for being too busy but the hotel is at the end of it so it doesn't get too much traffic but you're not isolated nor privatizing the beach.

Cons:

The room we choose (the beach view) was a bit on the small side (others are bigger).

Struttura in ottima posizione, di fronte a Playa Tranquilla un po’ defilata rispetto alla famosa Playa Blanca che è tranquillamente raggiungibile facendo una breve passeggiata
Struttura molto bella con un bellissimo patio al piano superiore per fare colazione
Lettini fronte mare con teli a disposizione degli ospiti cambiati ogni giorno.
Sempre a disposizione degli ospiti maschere per snorkeling, sup e kayak
Un ringraziamento particolare ad Osvaldo ed a tutto lo staff, hanno organizzato perfettamente il nostro arrivo con trasferimento in macchina da Cartagena e breve tragitto in barca.
Accoglienza super ci siamo sentiti a casa.
Il posto perfetto per godersi il mare e la natura 🤍

Bellissimo soggiorno
Pros:

Struttura molto accogliente e pulita. Bella la posizione proprio su playa blanca a Baru.
Personale sempre molto disponibile per rendere la tua vacanza meravigliosa. Ottime colazioni ed ottima cucina in generale. Posizione davanti al mare con postazioni sdraio privato e sempre con teli puliti, disponibilità di utilizzare la tavola da sup e la canoa. Bellissimo sfruttare le ore della mattina in cui c’è una pace che rilassa l’anima grazie alla bella struttura

Cons:

Non c’è un accesso diretto al mare, ci sono degli scalini che danno sugli scogli.. peccato perché l’acqua nel punto davanti alla struttura è splendido. Eravamo costretti a scendere dove c’era un punto in cui venivano parcheggiate le barche e ogni tanto l’acqua era sporca. La posizione è ottima ma non si riesce ad evitare la caotica spiaggia con moto d’acqua e barche che sfrecciano a tutte le ore, tolgono al posto della quiete che riesce ad infondere. C’erano anche spesso rumori di personale al lavoro durante le ore del giorno poco piacevoli

Lugar tranquilo, buena limpieza, habitación confortable , buen suministro de agua.
Pros:

El desayuno es bueno y ofrecen opciones para escoger. Tiene buena ubicación al final de playa tranquila no hay tantos vendedores. El hotel no tiene acceso directo a la playa pero a dos minutos caminando hay una playa agradable.
Las instalaciones del hotel son confortables y con buena limpieza, la cama es cómoda y cuenta con energia eléctrica y agua las 24 horas.
La atencion de recepcion y de despedida es muy buena, se preocupan por que te sientas bien atendido

Cons:

En general la comida en el sector es regular y costosa para lo que ofrecen, el hotel es de los mejores sitios para comer, aunque pudiera mejorar la variedad de platos

Pros:

La comodidad, limpio, no te cobran el agua, luz y agua 24h, y la zona súper tranquila, no hay música fuerte ni llegadas masivas de turistas. Muy recomendable!
