The fact that they make you wait after checkout to check on the room condition for damages or loss is very annoying, humiliating and based on mistrust of the guest. I never seen any hotel doing this to their clients.
Also, cleanliness of rooms is not the best. You always find hair everywhere from previous guests.
The room was brightly lit. There was strange and unnecessary electronic devices attached to my TV. The wifi required a WhatsApp QR code scan, my internet would work for various websites but not for others. It was sus.
They also called the police on me for smoking cannabis in my room. (that is the death penalty in Egypt, how would they even know what it smells like if they don't smoke it here). Thank God that the police did not arrest me. I do believe that the Police Should arrest Khaled Abdul Rahman.

I stayed at Zamalek House Hotel on two separate occasions, having returned after being happy with the first time.
The rooms were clean and confortable. Adequate size.
The staff were friendly and one of the ladies at reception was kind enough to print something for me.
Staff in the entry lobby were also polite and one even refused my tip after helping with the bags on the first occasion.
The location is perfect, a few seconds away from a main road and only a few minutes from a secure ATM machine (inside a bank).
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and next time I visit Cairo this will be the first place I will consider for my stay.

The shower was a bit cramped! But it worked well and I guess that's what really matters.
The wifi was a intermitent at times, but not really a big issue for me.
Because it is located in a busy area, it can get a bit noisy at night. Having said this, I was able to sleep well without any issues.
I am a Solo female traveller and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Firstly I just want to acknowledge the staff at this hotel are lovely and this reiveiw is not a reflection on the service they provided.
I stayed in a single bed room, the pictures online were very deceptive and made the room look spacious, but I could hardly fit my suitcases through the door. The room was not only very small but it was also very cold inside (it was February and about 12 degrees outside but colder inside the room) even though the air conditioner was off.
The hotel in general is noisy, I could here building work from outside, constant slamming of doors throughout the night and loud talking which was constant all throughout my stay. I did not have a good night's rest at this hotel, in the end I just booked another hotel for the rest of my stay in Egypt.
