Un hôtel confortable et accueillant pour un prix raisonnable : très bon séjour !
Pros:

Une équipe efficace et accueillante et professionnelle lors des interactions. Exemple : avant de venir, j'avais posé des questions par mail sur la possibilité d'emprunter un fer à repasser, lorsque j'ai pris la chambre, on m'y avait installé direct une table de repassage avec le fer à repasser. J'ai trouvé l'hôtel très propre, bien équipé, le système de distributeur de glace, d'eau froide, chaude, bouillante très pratique, dans un espace ouvert à tous avec la presse quotidienne locale. Il y a même un ATM au rez-de-chaussée ! 4 ascenseurs, très pratique aux heures de grande fréquentation. Ma chambre avait une vue tout à fait dégagée et agréable (on voyait les montagnes). Bonne pression pour l'eau de la douche. Le personnel pour le ménage est discret, rapide et efficace.
J'ai passé un très agréable séjour dans cet hôtel et n'hésiterai pas à y revenir.
Mon commentaire ne parle pas du restaurant ni des petits-déjeuners que je n'ai pas testés.

Cons:

C'est vrai que les chambres sont mal insonorisées les unes par rapport aux autres. Cela ne m'a pas dérangée et je ne pense pas avoir dérangé qui que ce soit mais j'imagine que ça dépend de nos voisins du mal.
L'hôtel est un peu distant des lignes de métro (mais des lignes de bus passent à proximité immédiate) personnellement, venant pour la Taipei International bookfair, j'ai adoré traverser le parc Daan tous les jours pour rejoindre le métro.

Austere, clean, and good for lap pool enthusiasts and lovers of tour groups from Mainland China.
Pros:

The hotel has a fantastic (although a bit old fashioned) 25 meter lap pool in the basement. Bring swimming gear! The pool opens at 6am and is then mostly used by a handful of elderly Taiwanese, who form a nice community. There is also a hot water basin to relax after you have done your laps. If you forgot to bring a swimming cap (mandatory), googles or a swim suit, you can buy all these things cheaply in the basement. Yes, there is also a gym.

Cons:

The hotel was apparently build in the 1970s or 1980s, and is now mostly for Mainland tour groups. The breakfast caters to them. I found all this interesting, but only for few days. Everybody was friendly though.
