Good stay near the lake!
Pros:

Very well maintained guest house near the lake and helpful staff. They even packed our breakfast to go. Pleasant stay!! Good hospitality.

There was no room heater; it was cold. The water heater is old storage water heater, so needs to wait between showers.

Had an amazing stay at Palazzo Lake Gregory in Nuwara Eliya. This place is truly “old but gold” — a peaceful property with breathtaking views of Lake Gregory, a beautifully maintained garden, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer.

What really made our stay special was the hospitality. Every staff member was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. A special shoutout to the reception manager, the anna who took our food orders, and the night security guard. I’m sorry I can’t remember your names, but you guys were absolutely the best and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.

The food was delicious, the surroundings were calm and scenic, and waking up to the misty lake view was an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Nuwara Eliya and looking for a comfortable stay with great service and beautiful views, I would definitely recommend Palazzo Lake Gregory.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable. Looking forward to visiting again!

Really lovely hotel and staff.
Pros:

Lovely rooms, beautiful dining room with views of tea plantation and sun setting over the lake. Exceptionally attentive and wonderful staff. Amazingly delicious buffet breakfast!

Cons:

Our room with a lake view looked down on several local homes strewn with rubbish and litter, a real eye sore which was a real pity because the lake area is very pretty.
