My stay at **Jimmy's Pyramids Hotel** was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming—I only wish I could remember all of their names! I had such wonderful conversations with everyone, including Jimmy’s son and brother. The young woman and young man at reception were especially amazing—they even spent time teaching me Arabic, which made my experience even more special.
The breakfast was homemade and tasted so fresh and delicious. Their generosity and genuine joy in seeing their guests happy truly sets this hotel apart. You can feel the warmth of this beautiful, family-run boutique hotel in every detail.
I stayed in the Ramesses Room (555), which was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of the pyramids. Next time I return to Egypt, I will absolutely stay at Jimmy’s again—though I’m hoping I can book the King Tut Room or the Nefertiti Room (fingers crossed they’re available next time!).
This place is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience filled with heart. I truly left a piece of mine there. ❤️
L'hôtel est vraiment très près des pyramides et du sphinx. Même pas 5 min à pieds, c'est très pratique.
La vue depuis la chambre et depuis le rooftop est vraiment jolie.
La chambre est grande.
L'environnement était très bruyant (pas de double vitrage, baie vitrée qui ne se fermait pas complètement) et quartier très très animé. Il était parfois compliqué de s'endormir.
Le ballon d'eau chaude est vraiment très petit, il est impossible de prendre un bain chaud. Alors la baignoire est un peu inutile.
L'eau était payante. Le ménage de chambre aussi. Si vous restez plusieurs jours, personne ne viendra faire votre chambre durant votre séjour.
La cuisine du restaurant est très grasse et trop huileuse (œufs brouillés qui dégoulinent d’huile, pareil pour les pâtes)

Je me permets de vous faire part de ma profonde déception concernant mon séjour.
L’hôtel est situé dans une impasse difficilement accessible ; les taxis et chauffeurs Uber rencontrent de réelles difficultés pour trouver l’entrée, ce qui complique inutilement l’arrivée.
L’accueil, malheureusement, manque de chaleur et de considération. Ce ressenti s’est confirmé lors des petits déjeuners, dont la qualité est très en deçà des attentes. L’amabilité du personnel laisse également à désirer, en particulier celle d’une serveuse dont l’attitude a été particulièrement désagréable.
Nous avions réservé une chambre intitulée “Prestige Suite Pyramids View & Balcony”, mais celle-ci ne correspond en rien au standing annoncé. Il s’agit d’une chambre simple, sans les prestations promises. Le pommeau de douche fonctionne très mal, la télévision est inutilisable, et dès le premier jour, mon mari s’est retrouvé enfermé dans la salle de bains lorsque la poignée lui est restée dans les mains. Ce genre d’incident est particulièrement inquiétant.
La propreté attendue pour une suite dite “Prestige” n’est pas au rendez-vous. Quant à la demi-pension, elle est extrêmement limitée : aucun choix d’entrées ni de desserts, un seul plat proposé, et les boissons facturées en supplément. Le rapport qualité-prix est, à mon sens, injustifiable, d’autant plus que le petit déjeuner est lui aussi très médiocre.
J’ai par ailleurs demandé exceptionnellement un départ tardif jusqu’à 20h. Cela m’a été accordé, mais à condition de régler la transaction directement, sans passer par Booking. Je me suis donc retrouvée à payer l’équivalent d’une nuit complète, au même tarif que sur la plateforme. Le règlement devait être effectué au moment de rendre la seconde suite.
Après une absence de cinq heures, l’hôtelier m’a retenue en affirmant que mes billets en espèces n’étaient pas acceptables, laissant entendre qu’ils pourraient être faux.
Location good for visits to the pyramids. Kettle for Tea & coffee good, & 2 water bottle provided daily. Room was adequate & had a superb view of the pyramids from our balcony. Most staff were friendly & helpful.
Hotel located in a poor run down area. The taxi drivers seem to have difficulty finding the address even with google maps! Breakfast & food generally was disappointing. Several items on the limited evening menu were unavailable. A couple of the ladies serving the so called breakfast could have smiled!
Location was amazing. Sunroof was special as not only could you see the pyramids but also the old town. staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Initially, you thought you were driving down the back streets of some rundown town, but everything is available and you realize it is close to all sorts of logistical needs such as Banks, PHarmacy, supermarket, cafés, etc. and that there was no danger
The breakfast with the view

A reggeli egy étlapról választható volt összesen 6 tétel fejenként. Kávé, fekete tea, üdítők, rántotta, kétféle lepény, zöldségek, gyümölcsök, méz lekvárok stb. A reggelit és a vacsorát is a tetőteraszon a helyszínen készítették. A személyzet mindig nagyon kedves és családias volt, mindenben segítettek. A következő napokon már fejből tudták, hogy mit fogunk kérni! :) A tetőteraszról a felső szintről csodálatos a panoráma a piramisokra és a városra. A vacsoránál nem kaptunk tájékoztatást arról, hogy mi az ami benne van a félpanzióban, így utólag derült csak ki, hogy pl. a pizzát külön rendelik máshonnan, és azért külön is kell fizetni. Nem volt drága egyébként, csak nem volt világos részünkre. A piramis bejárat kb. 200 m-re van, át lehet sétálni a bejárathoz 5 perc alatt. Közelben sok üzlet, kisbolt, ajándéktárgyak taláhatóak. A szomszédban van a városi rendőrség, ez még nagyobb biztonságérzetet adott. Nagyon tetszett, hagy a napfelkeltéket és naplementéket a teraszról végig lehetett nézni, ami a piramisok mellett nyugodott le. Rengeteget fotóztam. Érdekes volt fentről nézni a város pezsgését, mindennapját. Összességében jól éreztük magunkat a Hotelben, a városban uralkodó állapotok, szemét, kosz, szegénység és gazdagság kontrasztja stb. nekünk egy kicsit furcsa volt, de itt ez a normális, meg kellett szokni. Volt egy nap nagy homokvihar is, az nagyon érdekes volt, még sosem láttam ilyet.
A szobánkban a francia ágy elég kemény volt, a kétágyasban már sokkal kényelmesebb. Az ablakot nem lehetett teljesen bezárni, a reggeli szomszédos rendőrségi zajok, készülődések behallatszódtak, egy kicsit zavaró volt. Úgy hallottuk, hogy felújítás előtt áll a Hotel, tervben van a modernizálása, nyílászárók cseréje.
Everything! The location, the service and staff were beyond exceptional. The staff made you feel like family, and now my forever friends. And God, that view!😍 I can’t wait to go back!

L’hôtel dispose d’un roof top avec une vue exceptionnelle. Ils ont un restaurant qui fait de excellent plat. Il propose également des excursions fantastique avec un conducteur au top. Le personnel est au top et d’un gentillesse. Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour.

Nice hotel in the heart of Giza. We stayed at Jimmy Pyramids Hotel for 3 nights and had a great time overall. Slight mishap with our driver on the first night as he failed to pick us up from the airport due to a mix up but the staff’s hospitality more than made up for it. Jimmy also arranged alternate transport for us that night and checked in regularly to ensure we were en route. The rooms were cozy but comfortable and we especially loved the breakfast mezze which is served on a rooftop that overlooks the pyramids. Thanks for everything!
Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr nett.
Das Frühstück auf der Dachterasse ist toll, vor allem da man währenddessen den vollen Blick auf die Pyramiden hat.
Durch die Lage (und Kulturschock) ist man zwar erstmal geschockt, aber nach ein oder zwei Tagen empfindet man Kairo dadurch viel besser.
Dir Lage des Hotels ist durch ihre Nähe zu den Pyramiden direkt im Problemviertel von Giza. Außerdem befindet man sich direkt neben einer großen Polizeistation, was beim sowieso schon gestörten Sicherheitsgefühl nur bedingt weiterhilft.
Während das Hotel und dessen Mitarbeiter alles tun, damit man sich wohl und sicher fühlt, können sie hier nur bedingt etwas dagegen tun.
Tagsüber kann man mehr oder weniger problemftei durch die Gegend bewegen, wir würden aber empfehlen, spätestens mit Sonnenuntergang wieder ins Hotel einzukehren.

The restaurant was poor of offerings and we waited a lot of time before getting the only two dishes available from the menu, and they turned out to be not really good. Room’s bathroom was small and outdated
