Disappointing
Pros:

The location is great - along a good street, with a good variety of shops and restaurants, and it’s also close to the airport. There’s a coffee station in the room, as well as an iron box and an ironing board.

Cons:

The bedside stools were not clean, the soap dish in my shower was broken, and it would also be great to have room slippers, a dental kit and shower caps in the room. The towels are really old too.

My biggest issue, however, was that despite the clearly displayed “No Smoking” signs in the rooms, the guests directly opposite mine (I think they had visitors because they were quite a number) were smoking. They had even left their door open to air out the room, causing cigarette smoke to drift into my room. I called reception twice and requested that the guests be advised to use the designated smoking areas. On both occasions, the receptionist assured me that someone would be sent to address the matter, but no action was taken. It was only more than an hour later, after I went down to reception in person to complain, that she tried to address the issue. I just didn’t appreciate her inaction and apparent indifference.

Pros:

Everything! Its free shuttle, the hospitality of staffs and its super convenient location. Nearby you have not only airport but also lots of local specialty such as coffee shop and ethiopian food. All staffs are very helpful with inquiries you have. Will definitely stay again if visit addis another time.

Cons:

The Aircon was broken and when I complained to the front office they lied to me and said all rooms are the same.
On a different occasion I was looking for slipper to use for bathrooms for more than two day.
In general my experience with Mado Hotel was not good.
