Read and make up your own mind - this area/location and hotel is not for the faint hearted
Pros:

We were moved to different hotel on arrival. This was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Our recent experience at this hotel has been far from pleasant. Firstly, at the address provide in the booking.com confirmation there was no hotel named “Premium pyramids inn” but there were several hotels with similar names. The transfer driver eventually found it by asking locals and calling the hotel. The hotel was located above Banque Misr bank, in a rather run-down area with large crowds of local people queuing to walk up to the Pyramids entrance.
Upon arrival, we found the hotel to be shabby and poorly maintained. The rooms were in a bad state, though we were assured they would be cleaned when we returned. Running short on time, we reluctantly accepted the situation.
While waiting for our guide, the staff informed us that they would move us to another hotel, Pyramids Sun Light Hotel, a 5-minute walk away. This hotel was slightly better inside, but it was situated near horse stables, and the area reeked of horse urine.
The staff then requested a payment of $50, despite my booking.com confirmation showing a total payment of $30 including taxes. They showed me a booking.com page on their phone indicating a cost of $41.40 and wanted me to cover their commission fee of $8.64. Frustrated, we paid just to continue with our tour. When we tried to pay by credit card they also wanted to charge additional 5% for card payments, so we paid in cash but received no receipt.
When we returned in the evening, we arranged for breakfast at 07:30 am, which they assured us would be ready on the terrace. However, at 07:30 am, there was no one around. After waiting until 08:15 am, with our tour guide waiting, we had to grab a quick breakfast from a nearby shop.
Overall, the entire experience was bad and this hotel is highly unprofessional and disorganized. They intent on taking advantage of tourists at every opportunity.

Cheap and cheerful, excellent value for money. Do not expect 5 star as this is clearly not
Pros:

Location was excellent. Definitely value for money, excellent breakfast given. The staff were extremely friendly.

Cons:

The rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis. When we asked for the rooms to be cleaned, all that they did was make the bed and not clean out the rubbish nor clean the bathroom.

Pros:

Very good work team. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooftop is wonderful. All three pyramids are visible. Shops are everywhere and near taxis and buses. Very clean and very close to the pyramids gate.
