Fantastic stay
Pros:

Friendly reception staff, location, room size, comfortable bed, cafe and tea machines, breakfast boxes when travel early. Free upgraded to a even larger suit room 😇

Cons:

The room is a bit noisy (at night one can hear noisy streets, walking in the room above mine, neighbour room showering).

Great Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Athens – Let Down by a Few Details
Pros:

We stayed at the Royalty Hotel Athens for a weekend break and overall it was a good choice, mainly because of the fantastic location. The hotel is literally seconds away from Monastiraki Square and right next to Ermou shopping street, which made it perfect for exploring Athens on foot.

It’s a boutique-style hotel, modern and nicely presented, and it was exactly what we wanted for a short city stay. The room itself was clean, modern and comfortable, and the hotel has a nice atmosphere.

However, a few things let it down. The staff weren’t particularly friendly — walking in or out past reception, if we didn’t say hello first, we often didn’t get acknowledged, which didn’t feel very welcoming.

The room was also far too hot, and it seemed the air conditioning only blew warm air. We had to keep the window open to cool it down, but that meant we could hear the noise from outside below.

Another frustrating issue was the bathroom — there were no towel hooks whatsoever, so we had no choice but to hang towels over the shower and on the door handles.

Breakfast… well, least said the better. It definitely wasn’t the best and could be improved a lot.

That said, one highlight was the rooftop — the climb up is worth it because the view from the top is absolutely stunning and a real bonus.

Overall, a stylish boutique hotel in a brilliant central location, but with a few improvements needed in staff friendliness, room comfort, and breakfast quality. Also, the 1980s-style duvet cover didn’t really match the modern vibe of the room.

Still, for a short Athens stay, the location and rooftop views make it a solid option.

Porta doccia rotta sostituita con telo in plastica! Cuscini di scorta sprovvisti di federe. Colazione non avevano limoni per il tè tutte e tre le mattine del nostro soggiorno: in un hotel a 4 stelle mi sarei aspettato di trovarli almeno il giorno dopo.

Athens and arquaeology
Pros:

Location, location, location. Close to plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, underground station and some arqueaological sites (Hadrian's Library and The Ancient Agora) , hop on hop off buses stop; everything is on walking distance.

My bedroom was big with a lovely balcony a comfy bed, desk, minibar and all the facilities you expect from a four stars hotel; bathroom was of a good size with a waterfall shower all clean.

Breakfast caters for everyone, it included freshly orange juice squeezed by yourself.

Cons:

I think all the staff should ware an uniform as it's a four stars hotel; also some of the staff on breakfast time were more interested on their mobile conversations than doing their job.

Excellent location. Take good earplugs. Don’t bother with the breakfast.
