Managed by a private host
Nice little house in a very quiet suburb. The owner was super welcoming and her drive us around the city with his Tuktuk 🙏 the rooms have their own bathroom and we had nice comfortable blankets
The breakfast was also very good !
100% would come back there !
Such a beautiful and peaceful place! It really felt like home, and we had the most comfortable stay. The room included everything we needed and we had hot water in the shower.
The common area was really nice and the place is surrounded by beautiful nature.
Stampath the owner is a really kind person, he took us with his tuk tuk to many beautiful places around Nuwara Eliya. He always helped us with everything we needed. Thanks to him we had the best experience there.
So glad we stayed here, highly recommended!
All was great :)
We had a great stay. Nice view and good breakfast.
We did a half-day tuktuk-Tour visiting waterfalls, colonial buildings, two tea factories, the tea fields and a vegetable market. Sampath explained a lot, it was very interesting and he showed us two places for lunch and dinner with great food. Thank you so much.
El millor hoste que hem tingut mai. Molt amable i atent en tot moment. Ofereix moltes opcions d'ajuda, transport i idees.
Wow what a lovely peaceful place and Sampath was an incredible host. After a shaky and horrible start in Nuwara Eliya, checking into the Peace nest really saved our visit here. Big breakfast and if you WhatsApp the host he can give you tuk tuk rides to/from the bus station and train station. He also did a tea factory and waterfalls day trip for a really affordable price. Thank you so much!
Location is a bit out of the main town but if you don't mind walking 30/40 mins or getting a tuk tuk then your fine. The city itself is quite spread out so I think it's difficult to find a good location. Plus the closer you are to town is more noisy and there is a mosque in the north east area which starts very early.
The host is super kind, friendly, helpful and speaks very well English. He is also very honest! I only booked for one night cause I heard that it was raining a lot. The host told me that I'd better go somewhere else first and come back if that fits in my schedule because the weather was really bad. I really appreciated his honesty. Therefore, I only stayed one night, but I will be back next week! He had already shown me some buildings and told me some facts about them. I definitely will do a tour around the city with him when I'm back!
It's located a bit far from the city center but all waterfalls and hikes are outside town, so you need a tuktuk anyway. I didn't see a thing besides rain and clouds, but it's located next to tea plantations which should be beautiful with sunny weather!
In the morning he made me a really good breakfast, which i couldn't finish. The place is clean, spacious, homely, and has really warm blankets and a hot shower! All in all I had a lovely stay despite the cold and rain!
The owner is verry friendly
The room is clean and big
The owner seemed kind and welcoming.
He came with his tuktul to take us from the train station 🚉 to his place (1k Rp).
The place was new, nothing fancy but clean.
So we thought we will have a good stay and give him a 10 for the review to help him.
But.......
Unfortunately, we quickly lost our happiness at the sight of their beautiful dog 🐶 who was outside in the cold (keep in mind that we still are in the low season at this period, so it's freezing a bit) and humidity, on a very tight leash (100cm ?). 😩
From our arriving to the departure he stayed attached and passed the night on his small doghouse.
In the early morning, from our balcony while going outside to see the dog we saw the owner treating the dog with a wood stick while brushing his teeth ! 😳🤯🤢🤮
This animal abuse was for us heart breaking 💔 and extremely sad to see. 😣
We wish that we never had come to this place. How can people do such abuse on animals, specially on a so kind and beautiful dog 🐕 (the owner told us that the dog was a bit crazy and could bite, but oddly enough, he was extremely kind with us that my wife could pet him for a long time whiteout showing any sign of aggressivity!). 💕
What is even more shameful are all the other guest not saying a word about this ! They probably just don't care or prefer to act if they didn't know... ! What a shame !! 😤
- oh and last thing, from 5am to 6am we were waked up by the loud 🔊 sounds from the Mosque 🕌 😵
The host was very nice and down to earth. The place was calm and bit outside the city center. We had all we needed
The host was absolutely lovely and helped me, when I needed to leave a day early. He even gave me several rides into town and is very knowledgeable about the area. He has two rooms with a shared living/eating space which is very nice. Everything is very clean. Breakfast was very generous :D I don't know who could have finished all that.
The walkway is a bit steep and with the continuous rain I had it was a bit slippery. It is a bit out of the town centre, but has amazing views when the weather is good (I was just unlucky).
