Stracta Hotel Mosfell

Looked recently renovated with new walls, floors, and tiles. The worst drywall job I have ever seen 😊. But very functional. There was a lot of noise from the kitchen until around 10 pm. Restaurant service was super! It was impossible to turn on lights on the patio, so too much light all night

Room was great but the shower was open with no door so the water spread out on the floor of the bathroom. We had a 3 foot squeegee stored in the shower to push the water to the drain. Not pleasant as the floor was wet to use the toilet or the sink. Everything else about the room, staff and breakfast was outstanding.

Super friendly staff who were happy to have us there. Simple hotel was great for a stop on our golden circle tour and bonus with breakfast included so we didn’t have to spend time in the morning looking for something to eat. Would stay there again.

The Stracta Hotel Mosfell has great staff at the reception area. They were helpful and fun to talk with about Iceland. The hotel beds were comfortable. Stracta Hotel Mosfell has a sister property in town with hot tubs and sauna and we could use those facilities as well. The dining room was already booked when we arrived so we ate at the sister hotel and the food there was good.

The room was spacious (we were upgraded to a larger room for free), but it was very hot and there was no air conditioning.

Wir hatten Glück und ein Upgrade auf die Suite bekommen. Das Zimmer war super, alles neu, alles sauber. Wir hatten sogar einen Balkon.
Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Jederzeit wieder.

A recently renovated, wonderful hotel. Close to town center and the ring road. The staff are extremely welcoming and knowledgable. Highly recommended!

Recent hotel renovations have improved an already wonderful hotel. The hosts are polite, kind and knowledgable. I would highly recommend staying!

Very clean and confirtable.
Especially breakfast was very nice.

The included breakfast was fabulous and the dinner (although expensive) was tasty. This is a huge hotel that is spread out and it’s a long trek to get to your room. Walls were thin so we heard our neighbors talk until 2am

The room was clean and furnished nicely. The space was larger than expected! The only comment I have is about the duvet and pillow coverings. While they were clean, and smelled nice, I wish the fabric was smooth rather than the waffled texture.

the property was still under construction, signage was not noticeable until you got to the door, so we drove around because we had no idea that the building under construction was the hotel. There was no restaurant or bar as listed in the description. The breakfast as included was a mile away at the sister facility. the picture on this page is alot more spacious than our room. There were no bedside tables so we had to use the chairs to put things like glasses or phones next to the bed.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently being renovated (restaurant is closed so breakfast is in another hotel 10 minutes walk away) and my room felt like it had been rushed. The bathroom ceiling wasn't finished properly (grout missing from around the tiles and badly painted), there wasn't a night stand next to the bed, had two single duvets instead of one double. Just little things that they should do better for £200+ per night.

Very Friendly service!! We arrived at the main Stracta Hotel facility, not realizing that we had booked their newly remodeled property(Mosfell) that was very close by. We were instructed to the other property w/o issue. We were checked in by a very warm welcoming staff. It was explained to us that the property was still under re-model, but that our room was set for our two nights.
The room was very clean and nice.
The shower was a bit tight, but overall the room was good!
I can't recommend the friendly staff more, they were great to work with, would highly recommend this one.

Was transferred to Sister Hotel which was also super nice.

Excellent stay with a great breakfast. Highly recommended!
