Il lodge é favoloso, nuovo e con un personale davvero accogliente. Le stanze sono delle bellissime tende ben arredate e il cibo é il migliore che abbiamo gustato durante il nostro safari. Well located in Central Serengeti, within intra-day range to both the Northern Serengeti and the Mara River crossing, and the Southern plains. Exceptionally caring and responsive staff. Excellent support in organizing activities and logistics, highly recommended for travellers not relying on tour operator packages.
Significantly farther from Fort Ikoma airstrip than disclosed in website (and reflected in Google map location) as of July 2025. Some finishing of tents to be improved
A Dream Safari Experience in the Heart of the Serengeti
Staying at Escarpment Serengeti was an absolutely surreal experience! This luxury camp immerses you right in the heart of the Serengeti, and sleeping in the beautifully appointed tents was both comfortable and luxurious. The location is unbeatable - we were even treated to the sound of a lion keeping us company for the first two nights! To top it all off, we had the incredible privilege of watching the wildebeest migration right from the lounge area on our last night followed by watching sunset with my tour guides & staff, which offers stunning views over the endless plains of the Serengeti.
The staff truly made the stay special, they were incredibly helpful and attentive, making you feel like part of the family. One particularly memorable experience was when the housekeeping team arranged a special morning game drive just for me. Although it wasn’t safe to walk in the tall grass (I'd asked to go for a morning walk) they made sure I didn’t miss out on the wildlife. We encountered zebras, Thomson's gazelles, giraffes, and of course, the wildebeest migration. They even helped me capture the moment with a fun photo shoot, taking plenty of pictures and videos. It was such a thoughtful and accommodating gesture that made the experience even more unforgettable.
I can’t recommend Escarpment Serengeti enough, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The food was excellent and plenty.
It has a fantastic location, extremely kind staff, and great hospitality. The Hotel is still in its first year and needs extended facilities as a swimming pool and a better lounge. Though, the staff does its very best to assist and satisfy all your needs.

We had the most pleasant stay at the Escarpment Camp. The whole team is really polite, helpful and had some sweet surprises for us. Besides that everyone speaks a really good English, inviting us to ask a lot about Tanzanian culture and life. Special thanks to Upendo, who took care of us.
The room was exceptional equipped and very clean, not to compare with a regular tented camp. We stayed two separate nights - one in the regular room and one in the VIP-Room, which is slightly bigger, with an outside shower and small pool. Since the camp is erected in March 2024, everything was brand new.
The food was fantastic, with a great variety, excellent quality and freshly cooked. The dining room offers a stunning view in the nature with zebras coming along at breakfast time.
All in all we would definitely book it again and can recommend the camp to everyone looking for a special retreat after a long day of safari.
