The kitchen was nice
Pricing could have been less comparable to other hotels with more amenities
The location was good for our needs. I liked having the kitchen area.
The lighting in our room was the best I’ve had in a hotel.
There was often no one at the front desk and a sign that said they would return shortly. This happened when our key stopped working. Very frustrating.
There was no bedside table.
It was 105 degrees and the ice maker in our freezer didn’t work. The hotel did not offer any other option to get ice.
There was a homeless man living in the lobby.
The room was good sized, and comfortably furnished. The bed was very comfortable. While I didnt make use of them, i was surprised to see firepits and bbq grills outside as well as the availability of small appliances (slow cookers, air fryers, etc) from the front desk for customer use. The room had kitchen sink, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, electric cooktop, fridge/freezer, place settings for 2 (coffee mugs, water glasses, juice glasses, bowls, plates and flatware), pot and pan, colander, measuring cup, cooking utensils, kitchen towel, potholder.
Lots of traffic noise from the L101. Had to keep the fan on all night to help drown out the noise. Also, my room was across the hall from the doorway to the stairwell, and the door slammed when used. The noise was heard clearly from my room.
Where do I start? Noise- excessive. Freeway all night long, we could everything neighboring rooms ( and they weren't being disrespectful), door slamming. Staff- apparently we interrupted a personal phone call when we check in so we didn't get the low-down on housekeeping (there is NONE unless your stay is more than a week), as well as laundry discussions, etc. There was a fire alarm one night and the young kid at the front desk truly seemed unprepared and untrained as to what to do. I waited 15 minutes at the desk for someone to answer the bell to give me clean towels-i never saw more that 1 person on duty at a time. Sheets and towels- terrible. The food sheet would not stay in the mattress and the towels were as thin as crepe paper.
The front desk person on duty when we checked out was friendly and cheerful. Only saw her 1 time in 5 days
The location
Our room was on the side near the road and it was so noisy. Someone was playing loud music all night long. We could hear loud thuds coming from the room upstairs. Very noisy place!!! The Asst mgr at the front desk was very rude. She was actually arguing with the customer in front of me and there were a lot of people in line….very unprofessional
I liked bed and location.
Staff. Not friendly at all, never checked on how your doing
You can come in contact with staff and most would not acknowledge your existence. Check in was awful. I arrived at 2:11 pm. Checking was at 3pm. My sister surprised me and also booked a suite. She went through the whole process of check in; although they told her the room was ready she was told that she could not check in , until 3pm, so we left with nowhere to go. We came back at 2:57 pm and there was a line. The young man at the desk was having difficulties as he was early. He finally said he was new and was in training, but no trainer? Finally the assistant manager came from the back and begin to help. It was a slow process. Finally the 1st customer was processed. The next guy was told his room wasn't ready; although it was after 3pm. I finally was checked in at 3:23pm. I was easy, because I was prepaid. Some other things: a badly cracked plate in my room, dirty bathroom sink, a drawer in the middle of the kitchen cabinet that would stay shut/,closed, and a dirty partition between love seat and bed. The partition had some kind of liquid visibly on the side nearest the bed. I was hoping it was lotion. I dampened a cloth and cleaned it myself. On my 3rd day I walked out of my room, but forgot something. I turned around to go back in and neither of my key cards worked. I had to go to the front desk
I was told they only checked me in until t3/1 and not 3/2. It was the same assistant manager that had checked me in. I also had problems with lights in my room and had to reset circuit breakers.
I love that they had a mini store/market. You can find from bathroom essentials, personal essentials to cooking essentials. Even ice cream 🍦. And is open 24hrs even better.

The staff were excellent. Jordan at the desk was absolutely wonderful. The room was simple with everything needed and was clean. For the money, the value was unparalleled. There was free instant coffee, which wasn't great, but was free.
Some free food options could have been nice, particularly for breakfast, but again, for $84ish per night, you can't argue.
Location
Bed uncomfortable traffic loud outside. Floor above very noisy. Not impressed
It was clean and quiet. Pool was nice!
Staff and entire hotel was very clean and professional. Will be staying here again
Breakfast was not included. It was well equipped either a refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, but did not have a microwave. A microwave is of greater value to me. I couldn’t reheat anything, and that was inconvenient.
I also was not told of a hold equal to the cost of one nights lodging. Had Booking.com made me aware of that fact, I would have paid with a credit card, not a debit card. I am still waiting for the release of those funds. For that reason, I will never use Booking.com again.
See above response.
I felt Booking.com is shady, and lacks transparency for failing to include information about any policy of holding funds.
