I think this places used to be nice but seems to suffer from new ownership/management.
Nice beach.
I would not recommend this place.
The room we were given had this awful smell to it, which kept us awake and coughing all night.
The bathroom was dirty.
There were no moscito nets on the windows.
The moscito net of the bed had huge holes in it.
The sheets had holes in them too.
The furniture was broken.
The only place to sit or lay was around the very crammed pool... with no shade.
We left after one night and asked for a partial refund (we had paid for 10 nights) and were categorically denied it. They even kept our tourist tax (110$ for 10 days) which we had paid for in cash.
The receptionist was not interested in any of the problems in the room at all.
Total lack of care.
My husband got sick from the breakfast food too.
This hotel had the look and feel of a once pretty place, now totally neglected and mismanaged.

Everything! We came here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff is super nice and everyone is so polite and welcoming. The food is TOP for the price, the drinks alsoo. The view, the garden… it’s so magical. Special thanks to Is-haka Salim who is at the reception he was so nice and for any question he was avaliable, special thanks also to the staff at the restaraunt especially the trainee Salma. HAKUNA MATATA!!

La camera doveva essere vista mare ma non lo era, l'ho fatto presente e se ne sono fregati, il cibo sempre uguale quindi molto noioso e monotono, la piscina sempre torbida, potrebbero fare meglio

It was an easy going relaxed stay.
My husband went scuba diving in the mornings. Breakfast is served at 730am and he had to be at diving facilities at 8am so we missed breakfast. Once we spoke with staff they accommodated an earlier breakfast for us!! You just have to ask, if they can they will help.
Small stores are in walking distances.

Rooms and common areas are clean and maintained.
Wifi went out in the room areas but was fixed quickly. Wifi is strong in common areas.

We liked it so we then booked for 2 more nights.
On the beach, rooms are large, clean and well maintained. air conditioning works well. Just for information power goes off at times but is restored quickly. We cannot complain about this such things happen in many countries.
Staff we lovely and very accommodating.
Pool is cleaned every morning and pool area is nice, chair cushions are soft, a bit dated but just fine with a towel over them.
Meals are tasty and well presented.
Small.grocery store and.liqour store in walking distance.
If we ever came back we would stay again.

la nostra camera, grande con un gran balcone scorcio mare, la n.5. siamo arrivati e purtroppo non era disponibile la stanza richiesta (piano superiore) abbiamo dovuto attendere una notte ma per il resto ci è piaciuto tutto, anche l'accoglienza, in particolare un grazie a Moana, gentilissima e sempre disponibile ad aiutare in qualsiasi cosa.

Our stay at Zanzibar Bahari Villas was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff who went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained — with a peaceful atmosphere and a lovely view. The food was delicious, with great variety every day. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the willingness of the team to assist with anything we needed.
A special thank you to the housekeeping, reception, kitchen, and management staff — your hospitality and kindness made our stay extra special. especially The lady Flora and Isakah from reception, hadija, fatma, and the head chef.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The reception team was welcoming and always ready to assist. A special mention to the housekeeping team, especially Fatuma and Mariam, who were incredibly helpful and ensured everything was spotless. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is absolutely delicious.
The location is perfect, right on the beach — you can hear the waves and enjoy amazing views. The manager is very professional and shows great customer care.
I highly recommend this place to all travelers visiting Zanzibar. I will definitely come back!
