Hotel Credo

Location is too far from beach and steep uphill, pool area not arranged, low level breakfast.

Les chambres sont au rez de chaussée et donne sur une espace qui ressemble à une déchèterie, le petit déjeuné était de mauvaise qualité. Très mauvais rapport qualité prix globale pour un prix correspondant à un novotel en France. Salle de bain dont la propreté laissait à désirer, savons vides, pas de sortie de bains . L’hôtel est situé assez loin des centres d’intérêts de Kotor et l’environnement n’est pas des plus sympa…

Pool was very shallow there was no umbrellas no towels. Breakfast was not satisfying,everyday we had the same choices. They did not clean the room and change the bed sheets for 7 days. It was not worth it.

Sábanas sucias, con manchas amarillas. Baño con un olor fétido constante. Publicidad engañosa, solicitamos una habitación doble de lujo con vistas al mar, cuando no tienen habitaciones de esa clase en el hotel. El hotel solo es la primera planta. No realizaron limpieza de la habitación en los 3 días que estuvimos hospedados. La zona de la piscina está abandonada y sucia.

Una experiencia por debajo de lo esperado

Nuestra experiencia en el Hotel Credo de Kotor fue bastante decepcionante y, sinceramente, no lo recomendaríamos.
Éramos un grupo de 6 personas, distribuidas en tres grupos de 2 amigos. Al llegar, tuvimos dificultades para comunicarnos porque en recepción no hablaban inglés, lo que hizo el check-in y cualquier consulta bastante complicados.
Las habitaciones estaban en general bien, pero en los tres grupos tuvimos el mismo problema: un olor muy desagradable y constante en los baños durante todo el día, aparentemente relacionado con problemas de canalización. Además, la limpieza de los baños dejaba bastante que desear.
El desayuno fue otra decepción. El primer día no había suficientes mesas para todos los huéspedes y tuvimos que salir al exterior para encontrar un sitio donde sentarnos, a pesar de que hacía un viento increíblemente fuerte. La oferta del desayuno era bastante limitada y, por ejemplo, no había fruta. El ambiente no invitaba precisamente a sentarse tranquilamente a tomar un café.
Por último, la zona de la piscina en la última planta, que podría ser uno de los atractivos del hotel, estaba muy descuidada. El bar nunca estuvo funcionando y toda la zona daba una sensación de abandono y suciedad.
En resumen, hay varios aspectos importantes que necesitan mejorar, especialmente la limpieza, los problemas de olores y canalización, el desayuno y el mantenimiento de las zonas comunes.
Nuestra recomendación: evitar este hotel

La atención del personal no fue muy agradable, los baños tenían olor, la piscina limpia pero el lugar abandonado

We had to pay cash. Reception not always manned. Steep hill to walk up and location far from beach. Chose this for swimming pool - pool was fine but roof was deserted, we wished we'd gone for one of many apartments near the beach. Breakfast ok but had to take it to your room - a bit like a hostel but hotel prices.

El hotel me informo con anterioridad que no aceptaba tarjeta de crédito, solo Cash.
Como estuve una sola noche, lo deje pasar, pero es inconcebible en 2026.
Que pasaría si en un viaje como el mio de 20 noches, todos los hoteles hicieran lo mismo.

Hôtel qui n’a même pas d’enseigne. Pas de chocolat au lait au petit déjeuner.
L'établissement ressemble plus à une auberge de jeunesse qu’à un Hôtel
Je ne comprends pourquoi booking a référencé cet établissement.
Le prix est très largement surestimé.
Très déçu

The bad:
• Maintanace - it looks like the rooms aren't maintaned very well (our room had mold in the closet, a lamp that had exposed wiring and also a wall panel that was out of place), it happens to be the norm because we were offered another room in the same condition.
(It was so bad that we got a compensation for it).
• Cleaning - the rooms aren't well cleaned, we found ourselves cleaning the top of the bed because there was a lot of dust when we arrived.
• Breakfast - while the food is good, there isn't any sitting area, you take your plates and eat in the room, not the worst thing in the world but worth knowing.
• Location - physicly on top of a very large hill, makes it difficult for travel on foot.
• Price - at 170€ it is quite expensive.
• view - there really isn't too much, the hotel is on the entrance floor of an appartment building and it has another building right infront of it.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Credo was far from what we expected, especially considering the €550 we paid for three nights.

The room appeared to have dampness issues, with staining on the floor, particularly around the corners. The bathroom also had a very strong sewage smell. I had noticed similar comments in other reviews before booking but chose to overlook them, which I regret.

The pool bar was another major disappointment. It was advertised as a selling point, but when we arrived, it looked as though it had been abandoned. There were a few old, torn sunbeds and a counter, but the bar itself was not operating. Each day we were told, “The pool bar isn't open today, but it will be tomorrow.” Unfortunately, this never materialised during our stay.

The pool area itself was also not somewhere we could comfortably relax. The tiles were cracked, there were no umbrellas or proper shade, and the overall condition made the area feel neglected rather than like the relaxing pool-bar experience we had expected.

For €550 for three nights, I simply don't think the hotel offered anywhere near enough value. In all honesty, I would have been disappointed even paying €300. The hotel is also cash only, which is worth being aware of before booking.

It's also worth noting that the hotel occupies only one floor of the five/six storey building, with the remaining floors made up of privately owned apartments. This wasn't necessarily a problem in itself, but it wasn't what we had expected from the description of the property.

Overall, I would not stay here again and would not recommend Hotel Credo to others. There are too many issues for the price being charged.

The building is in major need of renovation. The floor of our room was dirty; when we walked around bare foot, our feet picked up the dirt. The walls had marks, cracks & stains on them. The skirting board was coming off the walls. The lifts were all scrapped up on the wall & flooring. The pool area was desolate with no facilities as mentioned. The tiles on the pool rooftop were cracked. There were no umbrellas. The entire area was empty. The cracked floor was a major safety hazard & the bar area was not looked after well. Overall entire hotel was not well looked after. We also didn’t get room service to one of the rooms for the entire visit. Breakfast was a poor selection & parts of the food looked off. They also left some of the food out (e.g fruits & cheeses) out for at least an hour or so after the breakfast ended. We didn’t end up eating any of it as it looked concerning.
