Hotel needs to do better on cleanliness

Unfortunately I don’t think we would stay again due to the poor hygiene. There was a group of 5 males who walked barefoot throughout the hotel and in the elevator then went in the hot tubs where my Mom and I were trying to enjoy like everyone else. They also went in the hot tubs in their underwear and took them off under their robes and left them. We went up the next morning and their underwear was STILL there. The hotel does not provide disposable slippers so everyone is either barefoot walking up the rooftop or wearing their dirty socks and there’s no rinsing showers or rinse area for feet prior to entering the pool. Hotel staff also left their vacuum outside of our hotel door the entire stay. This was my Moms first time staying in Banff and I was so excited but this spoiled our stay for us.

Clean, modern hotel with amazing views of the mountains
Pros:

Amazing hotel! The facilities were great and super clean. The room was modern and had a kitchen, which was great. Views of the mountains were stunning, we were genuinely sad to leave. Can’t wait for our next trip out there!

Great stay!
Pros:

Beautiful property. The hot baths are so cool. Beds are so comfy. Centrally located in Banff. Big shout out to Cade who helped us book our transportation and everything for Lakes Louise and Moraine! Massive help, patient, and excellent hospitality

Otter exceeded our expectations in every way possible.
Pros:

The staff was courteous, welcoming, and efficient. House keeping was excellent…when we had the do not disturb sign, we were left alone. When we left for the day, house keeping cleaned without moving our personals, which is exactly how we like it. The facilities were clean throughout, rooms-bathrooms-hallway bathrooms-hot tubs and sauna. We had reservations in a nearby town for the second half of our stay, and after seeing the difference, we returned to the Otter for the remainder of our vacation.

Cons:

The sign out front needs to be more visible from the street.

Banff's Gem
Pros:

The hotel was amazing - amazing location and all amenities were fantastic. Food was really nice and really gave a cabin feel whilst been a luxury hotel.

Cons:

The staff were at times too efficient ...lack a personal touch which we attempted when arriving. But other than that it was perfect.

Pros:

Les chambres confortables et spacieuses. La douche avec pommeau détachable (ce qui est rare en Amérique du Nord!) L'accès aux bains chauds et à la salle de sport bien équipée était vraiment agréables pour se détendre après une journée remplie.

Cons:

L'hôtel est bruyant. On entendait le klaxon du train plusieurs fois par nuit et dès 6h30 du matin, les portes des autres chambres qui claquaient à plusieurs reprises, nous réveillant en sursaut.

Super nice, modern hotel with clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, along with nice outdoor spaces for guests to gather
Pros:

We loved the overall look and cleanliness of the property. It was modern and beautiful! We had a really comfortable stay. Our room had a large sitting area near the TV and a kitchen with barstools, along with a balcony with views of the mountains.

Cons:

The only negative, and it’s not entirely a negative, is that the property is located on the quieter end of the Main Street in Banff. We actually enjoyed the quiet and we liked walking to the restaurants on the other side of town. There was a free shuttle too. Some people may like being in closer proximity to the part of town where more restaurants and shops are.
