From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at this hotel was truly exceptional. We were greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for the entire stay. Manager Shrawan made sure everything was seamless and comfortable, while Seema, our server, was attentive at every meal. The entire team was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely committed to creating a memorable experience.
As hikers on the Great Himalaya Trail we had looked forward to this stop for weeks. It became an oasis in our trip, and our guide also came to stay, making it a wonderful location as a resupply and relaxing rest for a few days. The air conditioning, bath robes and toiletries were all excellent.
The hotel itself spotlessly clean with rooms that are designed to feel calm and restorative, never busy or cluttered. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the kind you melt into after a long day, and perfect for deep, restful sleep.
The views are breathtaking—every window and terrace opens up to postcard-worthy scenery. The food was fresh, flavourful, and served in a lovely dining room.
You can even fly here in a helicopter, making it the ultimate getaway without the hassle. If I lived in Nepal, this would be a top choice to host a special event—whether a birthday, wedding, or celebration that deserves a wonderful setting.
Nothing we didn’t like. One suggestion would be uniforms (shirts) for the servers to match the presentation standard of the rest of the hotel but that’s all we can think of to improve :)
We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2023 and absolutely loved it. The setting for the hotel is incredible, perched on the side of a mountain with a river gorge at the bottom and is very modern and more luxurious than most in Nepal. It took us about 3.5 hours to get to the hotel by taxi from Kathmandu and the road was surprisingly good until the last 13km where the tarmac ended and it was more of a gravel track. There are no ATMs near the hotel so make sure you get any cash you might need at Bahrabise and be aware that like in most hotels in Nepal, you can’t use Mastercard, only Visa. Our room was really lovely with a stunning view from our balcony and a spacious rainfall shower. They are still in the process of completing the upper stories of the hotel so there was some construction noise but it didn’t spoil our stay. The pool was not heated so was pretty chilly but the jacuzzi was nice and hot so we spent a lot of time in there with occasional plunges in the pool to cool down. We were served drinks and snacks at the poolside so felt very pampered! The staff here were really great and the service was excellent. Raju & Nisma in the restaurant took great care of us and were incredibly courteous and polite, obviously having been very well trained. The food and drink was very good and not a bad price either and the included breakfast was delicious and cooked to order most days. Shrawan on reception was also very attentive and helped organise and accompanied us on a trip to the Chinese border, Tatopani hot springs and Duguna Gadhi, an old Tibetan fort on top of a nearby mountain. The rest of the time we spent relaxing at the hotel, taking in the stunning views or exploring the surrounding area and its wildlife. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!
They had run out of Fanta & Sprite which was unfortunate as one of us doesn’t like Coca Cola.

This hotel came as a surprise because its new....i am going back there in 6...8 months! The best thing was to sit in the jakuzi surrounded by the perfect view of the mountains and enjoying the best food ever....chef level!
