A traditional seaside hotel offering excellent value for money.
Pros:

The check in was straightforward ,the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The food exceeded our expectations, a nice traditional three course meal each evening which was well prepared and served by lovely waitress.

Cons:

Having to eat a little earlier than we would normally but we understood is was to accommodate the coach travellers. The little outside pool not opening until 9.30 am, an early dip out of the question.

So much noise!
Pros:

It's in a very central location. And its clean

Cons:

This hotel is obviously a primary stay over spot for regular older people's coach holidays. So everything inside the hotel is geared for this. I feel if you aren't part of the coach trip you should be made aware of this. It's an extremely noisy hotel. Everything makes noise from floorboards to doors to furnishings etc. There is a severe lack of sound proofing in this building so you hear every single thing every single person does including around 5.50am every morning when staff are literally running up and down the stairs dragging and bumping suitcases from the rooms to load up the coach before they head off for the day. There is no consideration for anyone not on this trip who do not wish to be awake at this time of the morning whilst on holiday. Staff definitely dont whisper to each other from either end of the corridor thats for sure! These things could be easily rectified with a warning at the point of booking of the primary use of this hotel. And Staff just need to have more awareness of the noise they make so early in the morning. (And yes I do realise they have a job to do but this was excessive noise). I'm sure those on the coach trip caught up with their sleep whilst they travelled. Me and my partner who stayed for several nights definitely felt the negative effects of repeated disturbed sleep on our holiday! 😞

Avoid
Pros:

The room was clean

Cons:

We were allocated a room. An hour later another couple used a key card to open our door and walk straight in stating that they were staying in that room. Reception said sorry, with no sincerity and there was no offer of recompense and they didn’t seem to see the seriousness of the breach of privacy or security.
At breakfast, which was dry from sitting on a hot plate too long, no one greeted us so we chose a table and began eating our cereal. We were then told to move as we were in the ‘coach area’. We had to stop eating and move to a different table.
The room was clean but it was old fashioned and smelt stale. The whole hotel needs a severe make over.
We will never stay at this hotel again and we definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
