Nice bed and bathroom

Het beste verblijf tijdens mijn reis door Sri Lanka! De gastfamilie was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik heb hele leuke gesprekken gehad met de zoon van het gezin.
Ook de kamer wat netjes en schoon. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk. Ze hebben zelfs nog twee super lieve hondjes die geen vlieg kwaad doen.

We stayed at the Salis Manor for 5 nights and the husband and wife who own the property are really lovely and extremely helpful during our stay.
Our room was large and divided in two parts, one half having a table / chairs and a sofa and the other half having 2 large comfy beds.
The wet room is also a nice size and the shower is powered by a instant shower heater, that provides on-demand hot water, it would have been good if the shower had slightly better water pressure.
A balcony to the back of the house gave some beautiful views and the owner has a lovely vegetable garden.
Breakfast was delicious, as I struggle with spicy food, we were given the option of club sandwiches which were lovely and very filling, along with fruit and tea.
We also ate dinner for 3 nights there, the food was great and varied, each night there were several dishes and the curry’s were toned down on the spice for me. My husband had hotter dishes and really enjoyed the food provided. The owner’s wife is a great cook.
At night the temperatures in Nuwara Eliya drops and it was quite chilly, there were thick blankets on the bed.
The owner also kindly drove us to Ella, which was lovely especially as there were issues with fuel restrictions.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

I would give 11 / 10 stars if I could. We had an amazing time there! The room is big and clean. The beds are comfy and the view is very nice. The bathroom was also clean.
Even better are the people though. Everyone from the family is super lovely and friendly. They helped us so much with organizing different things, like scooter rental, activities, sim card, … The food is super delicious! One evening, we could even join in the kitchen and „help“ cooking dinner. The lady also showed me how to put on a sari. The son is also super friendly.

It was truly an amazing stay! Thank you for everything!

The family was extremely kind and welcoming. They gave us lots of useful information about what to visit and really tried to help during our short stay. Location was also convenient for exploring the area.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dieser Unterkunft. Die Zimner sind zweckmößig eingerichtet mit warmen Decken und warmer Dusche. Das Tollste sind die Vermieter, sie sind so nett und herzlich! Wir durften beim Kochen des Abendessens dabei sein, was sehr informativ und unterhaltsam war, und hatten schöne Gespräche. Wir fühlten uns bei ihnen zu Hause.

The host is accommodating and very lovely, kind and generous. He had great dinner/lunch recommendations too.
Breakfast was good, very big serves and delicious too.

The room we had was perfect. Lots of space which was great for our family of four.
The beds are very comfortable!

Our host and his family were great. He offered us a heater on our cold night which we thought was very kind! The family was very engaging.

Breakfast was excellent. The hosts also made us a great dinner.

Wonderful hosts, big room, comfortable beds, very nice Sri Lankan breakfast. The host knows
much about the town and the surroundings and can take you on a tour to a tea factory.
If possible, would have rated an 11 because of the very sympathetic owners.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The premises are as described and pictured, new and clean, nice big bathroom, confi harder matraces. The rented rooms are upstairs of the family house. You can see Pidurutalagala from the balcony. House is walkable distance from town. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Wi-fi didnt work perfectly, but we experienced this in many places in Sri Lanka.
The best part of our stay was the owners family - so open, welcoming and nice. Thank you for our discussions, sharing your culture, telling us lots about Sri Lanka, letting our son to play all time, tasty local breakfast and teas, teaching us to eat with hands, making the train to Ella. We really treasure our time with you!
