Amazing room with super lovely family
Pros:

I would give 11 / 10 stars if I could. We had an amazing time there! The room is big and clean. The beds are comfy and the view is very nice. The bathroom was also clean.
Even better are the people though. Everyone from the family is super lovely and friendly. They helped us so much with organizing different things, like scooter rental, activities, sim card, … The food is super delicious! One evening, we could even join in the kitchen and „help“ cooking dinner. The lady also showed me how to put on a sari. The son is also super friendly.

It was truly an amazing stay! Thank you for everything!

Very nice family and good location, but comfort and cleanliness were far below expectations.
Pros:

The family was extremely kind and welcoming. They gave us lots of useful information about what to visit and really tried to help during our short stay. Location was also convenient for exploring the area.

Cons:

The room and facilities were very old. Towels, bed sheets, and pillows had stains, and the blanket looked dirty. The bathroom was in such poor condition that we chose not to shower. Unfortunately, there was also a very loud party from the neighbor that went on all night, making it almost impossible to sleep (not the property’s fault, but it ruined the stay). Shockingly, the music was still going when we woke up and even at check-out time, which was crazy. Breakfast was included but very basic, just a sandwich. For the price we paid, it didn’t feel like good value.

Pros:

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dieser Unterkunft. Die Zimner sind zweckmößig eingerichtet mit warmen Decken und warmer Dusche. Das Tollste sind die Vermieter, sie sind so nett und herzlich! Wir durften beim Kochen des Abendessens dabei sein, was sehr informativ und unterhaltsam war, und hatten schöne Gespräche. Wir fühlten uns bei ihnen zu Hause.

Pros:

The host is accommodating and very lovely, kind and generous. He had great dinner/lunch recommendations too.
Breakfast was good, very big serves and delicious too.

The room we had was perfect. Lots of space which was great for our family of four.
The beds are very comfortable!

We'd stay here again.

Wonderful quiet homestay
Pros:

Wonderful hosts, big room, comfortable beds, very nice Sri Lankan breakfast. The host knows
much about the town and the surroundings and can take you on a tour to a tea factory.
If possible, would have rated an 11 because of the very sympathetic owners.

Exceptional
Pros:

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The premises are as described and pictured, new and clean, nice big bathroom, confi harder matraces. The rented rooms are upstairs of the family house. You can see Pidurutalagala from the balcony. House is walkable distance from town. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Wi-fi didnt work perfectly, but we experienced this in many places in Sri Lanka.
The best part of our stay was the owners family - so open, welcoming and nice. Thank you for our discussions, sharing your culture, telling us lots about Sri Lanka, letting our son to play all time, tasty local breakfast and teas, teaching us to eat with hands, making the train to Ella. We really treasure our time with you!
Definitely recommend to stay here.

Nice Homestay just needs heat in rooms when cold
Pros:

Walking distance to restaurants. Quiet
Was cooked excellent dinner by wife… she was very sweet. Husband helpful dropping me off a couple of places, at tea plantation and tuk tuk station when I could not reach taxi company

Cons:

Homestay was very cold. No heating in home or rooms Needed to sleep in layered clothing while using 2 blankets

Cons:

Nothing on the property but definitely bring warm clothing for Nuwara Eliya.
