The Chateau de Schengen has seen better days!
Pros:

The location, the garden, the ambience of the restaurant, the old wooden staircase and furniture.

Cons:

This is clearly an event and business hotel mainly. Upon arrival, 'Jeanne's anniversaire' event greeted us with loud music. We were clearly given a spare room which was infested with chinese beetles. The bathroom was spacious, but lacked cleanliness( blood stain on the window sill and general lack of attention). We later discovered that we had no hot water and after a theatrical performance by a staff member, pretending that they didn't know about this problem, we had to change rooms. Second room was worse than the first. We had hot water, but the room was badly run down, the bathroom consisted of a small glass cubicle. I found a long hair from the femme de menage or the previous guest on the hair conditioner bottle. Also, we were directly above the service and kitchen, so that it was extremely noisy after hours. The room was dark with only one window facing the back of the building. Left-overs from Jeanne's anniversaire found their way onto our Monday lunchtime menu.

Очень красивый отель в живописном месте.
Pros:

Красивый и уютный отель в живописном месте. Чистая комната, вкусный завтрак и невероятные виды. Ресторан французской кухни при отеле заслуживает особого внимания. Отличное место, чтобы задержаться здесь на одну ночь. Будем рады вернуться вновь.

Chateau heel mooi maar ondermaats qua eten.
Pros:

Vriendelijk personeel, propere kamers

Cons:

Het ontbijt was heel basic voor de prijs, er zat ook veel verschil op tussen het ontbijt op dinsdag en op woensdag. Op woensdag werd er meer aangeboden en het restaurant van het chateau was heel amateuristisch. Even verderop is er een italiaans restaurant en daar was het heel lekker.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt nochmal vorbei.

Voor herhaling vatbaar!
Pros:

Het restaurant, echt ontzettend goed eten daar! Vriendelijk personeel, mooie locatie.

Cons:

De douche, kwam erg oud over (de kamer was wel modern). Wel een goede straal uit de douchekop en goed warm. De kamer was wel een beetje klein.
