Überraschend angenehm für ein Hotel, erforderlich wegen eines gecancelten Lufthansafluges
Pros:

Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Und wir kennen Italien seit Jahren und waren eben erst wieder in einem Hotel in Rom. Das Hotel liegt in einer Art Gewerbegebiet, das wirkt nur solange etwas befremdlich, bis man am Hotel ankommt und feststellt, dass es eine ruhige angenehme Lage ist. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und das Personal freundlich.
Das Zimmer ebenso sauber, schöner moderner Sanitärbereich und ein gutes Bett. Es gibt keinen Schrank, jedoch ein Stange mit genügend Kleiderbügeln und ein Regal. Der Service beim Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, der an der Reception ebenso.

Man kann vor dem Haus parken, der Parkplatz hat eine Schranke, die nur für Hotelgäste mit Karte öffnet. Es ist kein Hotel, wo man vierzehn Tage Urlaub macht, sondern für Geschäftsreisende oder Besucher von Pavia, wir waren auf der Durchreise nach Südfrankreich und haben sowohl Hin und Rück dort übernachtet. Die Lufthansa hatte unseren Flug nach Marseille gecancelt und die Tochter Lufthansa Cityline geschlossen, so dass wir mit dem Auto fahren mussten. Pavia lag auf der Hälfte der Strecke, so sind wir auf das Hotel Plaza gekommen. Sollten wir Pavia zum Sightseeing besuchen, würden wir wieder dieses Hotel wählen. Das Hotel hat kein eigenes Restaurant, jedoch eine Bar. Aber gegenüber ca. fußläufig fünf Minuten gibt es einige Restaurants, darunter ein absolut trendiges italienisches fast-food Restaurant, das Giustospirito (Birrificio con Cucina). Das war ein Erlebnis, wir waren dort als Paar, beide Mitte sechzig, es war einfach nur cool, die Musik, das Ambiente und die Einheimischen. Man sollte zeitig hingehen, dort wird es schnell voll. Es gibt sehr viele Biersorten aus der eigenen Brauerei und die diversen Pizzen sind nicht absolute Spitze aber für diese Art von Gastronomie ausreichend gut. In ein Mc Donalds oder ähnliches hätten wir keinen Fuß gesetzt.

Pros:

La posizione in po' decentrata ma comunque comoda x raggiungere Pavia e il castello di Belgioioso che era la meta del nostro viaggio. Buona la colazione con una certa varietà anche x quanto riguarda il senza glutine e senza lattosio con prodotti confezionati x nostri problemi di intolleranze. Menzione speciale x la gentilezza di tutto lo staff.

Non lo classificherei assolutamente come una cosa che non mi è piaciuta ma come una miglioria che potrebbe essere apprezzata da chi ha problemi di allergie o intolleranze varie. Mi riferisco alla possibilità di avere magari anche qualche prodotto da forno non confezionato nel senza glutine e vegan. . Mi rendo conto della difficoltà x quanto riguarda il problema della contaminazione ma davanti alla distesa di dolci normali offerti un moto di malinconia e rammarico c'è sempre. Del resto è giusto notare ed apprezzare il fatto che però la risposta a questi problemi negli ultimi anni è molto migliorata e ad oggi la maggior parte delle strutture si è attrezzata x offrire opzioni adeguate.
