Great location, great room, comfortable and stylish
It’s not that I didn’t like the sound of live music and happy folk, it’s just there are 2 pubs across the road both with live music so it’s a mess of sound, great when one is having a break!
Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed a couple of dinner and enjoyed the live music. Great location walking distance to everything.
The staff were lovely, shout out to Amy and Joe.
Good value and choice
Great location
Clean
Requires improvement in tea and and coffee facilities in the room
Location and super helpful friendly staff.
Nosey from opposite pubs till 1:30am
Lovely place, room clean and cosy, rainfall shower was divine, bed was super comfy. Bar was great, staff were attentive and friendly and decor was amazing. Best breakfast I have EVER had :-)
Nothing wrong at all!
The location was central to restaurants and pubs
During our stay the music playing till late made it very hard to sleep, which we didn't mind too much. It was the roto hammering and demolition of the flooring in the room directly attached to ours that started at 630 am that was the worse. The construction crew and staff had zero regard for the noise. It was so loud my wife and I couldn't talk to each other. Also the flooring in our room was falling apart, and the bathroom was worn. The staff probably could have moved us to another floor to avoid this, but had no regard for us.
The property was in a great location central to a lot of the main bars in cathedral square
Rooms nicely decorated and clean.
The room had no air con. The wether was very hot and the room was uncomfortable with only a heavy winter duvet.
The room was located directly opposite the loudest bars in the city with music until 2am then bottles / beer barrels thrown about.
If the room had air con the window could have been closed to make a quieter room.
Not one to complain about people having a good time that’s to be expected in such a busy area but a bit of sound proofing / air con woukd help.
Or just join them and stay out late !!
Good location
Horrible smell in the lift going to the rooms, and hall way wasn’t clean at all
Room, staff & location
Bathroom floor dirty and mirror in rm, very warm in room and v noisy
The location is just amazing for going out and experiencing the nightlife. Having access to the restaurant and bar below the rooms is also a bonus if you don’t want to venture out.
It can be noisy at night as it’s in the heart of the pubs and bars. Don’t come here and complain about that - it’s all part of the fun!
The room was clean and shower powerful. The bed was comfortable.
No aircon or fan. One window opened slightly but as directly out onto the very busy street opposite an outdoor pub (The Dirty Onion), it was a toss up suffering from the heat or noise. Yes, earplugs were supplied but I cannot wear them as they always drop out. I opted for window open to get the little air available and wore my cans (headphones) until the noise died down around 2am both mornings. The street cleaners were then in around 7am, doing a great, but noisy, job.
