Very lively area , don't stay here if you want something quiet and relaxing.

Loud music till early hours on both nights makes it unacceptable if you want to sleep.
Pros:

Brilliant location in terms of being central.

Cons:

The pub immediately opposite played SUCH loud music until 1.30 a.m. on the Thursday night that it was impossible to sleep even with earplugs. On the Friday they played loud music and so did the hotel until 1am but it was within reason. I wouldn't be able to stay at The Foundry again for this reason.

Lovely hotel in prime location but don't come here expecting a relaxing stay..
Pros:

The room was really lovely, with a comfortable bed and nice big shower. Really good location right in Cathedral Quarter.

Cons:

Our room was right on the front of the hotel overlooking the street and first floor so the noise was just absolutely unbearable. The DJ goes on until 1am every night and it honestly felt like we were still in the bar downstairs it was that loud. If you are going to stay here expecting a good nights sleep definitely invest in some good earplugs! The noise might have been better on the top floor and at the back of the hotel so also worth trying to ask for one of those rooms instead.
