Cleanness and comfort

Great for families. Nice pool and playground which the kids loved. Rooms are very clean, with all amenities that are needed for a stay.
WiFi wasn't working throughout the stay, room service and food service was very slow.
We were heading to Dar es Salaam and the location was convenient since it’s next to the main road. The food was good and the hotel room was almost perfect even though we didn’t get much informations.
The staff made us feel like we were not welcome and as if we were less than nothing. I’ve never felt as bad as that in a hotel, even though I went to some really bad places.
We had some drinks and asked if we had to pay directly or if it was on the room, they said it would be on the room, but when leaving (after the staff made us understand that they wouldn’t give us drinks anymore (I’d like to clarify that we were far from being drunk), one of the member of the staff followed us like we were leaving without paying and asked us to pay directly.
When we paid the hotel rooms, the receptionist looked amazed that my bank card went through.
It really felt like they took us like people that would leave without paying.
On another note, the room of my friend wasn’t ready when we got there, he got in the room and the bed wasn’t done.
And there was some cockroaches in my room (I don’t think is the most uncommon thing, but in 10 days in Tanzania, that was the first time that I saw cockroaches in a room).
The food was good, but they told us it would take 45 minutes to get samosas, it actually took an hour and a half, to get samosas and cold fries.
Finally, most of the staff don’t even say “hello”.
One of the staff member proposed to wash our car car for $20, I wasn’t expecting people to try to rip us off in a hotel that’s trying to look like a luxury place.
