5 star luxury without the cost
Pros:

Amazing, beautiful hotel just a short distance from the centre of Matera. The pool and grounds are immaculately maintained, the breakfast was excellent, and our room felt incredibly luxurious. The bed was super comfy.

A special thank you to Anna—the massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. She was wonderful and made our stay even more relaxing. We can’t wait to return!

Un hôtel magnifique proche de la ville haute !
Pros:

La beauté de l’hôtel, chambre et salle de bain vraiment spacieuses avec des matériaux de haute qualité. Une literie très confortable. Une piscine tout en longueur comme je n’en avais jamais vue tellement la taille est impressionnante.
Nous avons pu nous rendre à pied dans la ville haute, environ 15 à 20 minutes ce qui est plutôt agréable. Nous avons été très bien conseillés à l’accueil pour le choix d’un restaurant.

Pros:

Staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms and bathrooms were large, bed’s extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast.

Alvino Relais Mulino Contemporaneo is een fantastisch hotel met een unieke, historische uitstraling. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, gastvrij en behulpzaam, waardoor je je direct welkom voelt.

​De locatie was voor ons ideaal: het ligt op een rustige plek net buiten het centrum, waardoor je gemakkelijk met de auto kunt aanrijden en parkeren zonder ZTL-stress. Tegelijkertijd wandel je in een mooie, rechte lijn in ongeveer twintig minuten zo het historische centrum en de sfeervolle Sassi van Matera in. Een absolute aanrader voor een comfortabel en zorgeloos verblijf!

Beautiful spot and well appointed rooms and common rooms with friendly staff.

Cons:

Old decorations from
Partir were still up and had dead flowers and were out of date.
Also, the taxi ride were expensive from this location into the town, but that was no fault of the hotel.

Wir würden wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.
Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut. In 20 Minuten ist man zu Fuss im Zentrum.
Die Anlage ist sehr grosszügig angelegt. Es hat viel Platz und alles ist sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück war auch wunderbar und der Service sehr aufmerksam.
Es hat sehr viele, grosse Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Es hat eine grosse Aussen-Poolanlage mit vielen Liegeplätzen. Bademäntel stehen auch zur Verfügung.

Beautiful, spacious & good location
Pros:

Beautiful & elegant building, spacious rooms, stunning gardens & swimming pool, spa area was very relaxing.

Cons:

I requested to cancel my reservation due to my work commitments changing but the hotel refused, it was unfortunate as I would be less likely to book again in the future.
Regarding the property itself, the only thing I didn’t like was the very loud and constant music from the event suite. I believe guests should be warned of these events.
