Unsurpassed location for access to the Goðafoss, and otherwise a great place to eat and sleep.
Pros:

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel (not included) were very good. The location, only a few minutes on foot from the Goðafoss, with a view of the waterfalls from the building, was spectacular. The rooms were comfortable, with a rustic touch.

Cons:

The Goðafoss gets a LOT of day tourists, which isn't necessarily a problem. However, one is well advised to visit the waterfalls and order meals at the hotel restaurant before 9 AM or towards sunset (no buses, no crowds, just the beauty of nature).

Pros:

Blizzard like conditions in June. Most roads were closed. Spent most of the day sitting in bar/ restaurant talking with staff. Felt like old friends!

Delightful and charming
Pros:

Really friendly staff. Hotel was so charming. I enjoyed every detail of the lobby and restaurant. The rooms are small but comfortable, stay dark and cool. The location next to the waterfall is such a cool way to experience this heavily touristy stop. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Loved the full access to the coffee maker, the bowls of Skyr, and the waffles! Definitely recommend stopping and staying here!

De locatie en een lekker ontbijt kamer was netjes gebouw waar wij sliepen langs buitenkant dringend onderhoud

kamer ok maar klein wij hadden een standaard kamer genomen.

Cons:

grotere kamer was beter geweest ,badkamer te kleine wastafel ,de kamer slechts 1 maal gereinigd op de 3 dagen zodat we ook geen propere handdoeken hadden.was een apart gebouw waar we verbleven

Ce petit hôtel est ..... Splendide !
Vue sur Godafoss depuis la salle de repas et la terrasse

La chambre était tout simplement sublime et avec une entrée directe du jardin !
Le restaurant où nous avons mangé le soir est excellent, beau choix pour le petit déjeuner !
Le personnel était très attentif et très agréable
C'était deux très belles nuits ici

Si en plus comme nous vous tombez sur des nuits avec aurores boréales ..... Le paradis sur la cascade

Cons:

Le seul " petit " point serait qu'on est un tout petit peu loin des lieux de vie mais pile entre myvatn et husavik ....

Un bon emplacement pour rayonner et profiter des chutes. Petit déjeuner cher mais très complet et très bon. Restauration sur place dans une jolie salle très cosy. Possibilité de randonnée depuis l’hôtel, ce qui est sympa après la route. Matelas confortables. Très bien pour une nuit

Cons:

Chambre vétuste sans aucun rangement. Il y a 2 crochets pour les manteaux et c’est tout. Impossible de faire sécher ses affaires car pas de cintres, pas d’étagère. Obligés de laisser ses affaires par terre. Il y a 2 fauteuils mais pas de table basse donc pas pratique, on ne peut pas s’installer. Pas de table non plus sur la terrasse. Salle de bain minuscule avec le porte serviette à côté des toilettes. Lavabo tellement petit qu’on peut à peine s’y laver les dents. Mais surtout, la salle de bain n’avait pas été nettoyée depuis le dernier client. Douche pas propre, sol pas lavé (il y avait même du dentifrice au sol…). Les murs sont très fins, on entend tout ses voisins. Impossible de régler le chauffage (trop chaud dans la chambre). J’espère qu’ils donneront un bon coup de propre à la fin de la saison car la chambre était fatiguée en ce mois d’octobre… et il faut surtout qu’ils trouvent une solution pour ranger et faire sécher ses affaires

amazing location for exploring the north diamond circle! so cool to be right at the waterfall! stayed here and went clockwise to explore ending at lake mývatn. we saw incredible northern lights next to our room!

Great staying and location at the Goðafoss Fosshóll Hotel!
Pros:

The Goðafoss Fosshóll Hotel has a great perfect location, right next to Goðafoss waterfalls, with spectacular views. We were able to enjoy the waterfalls at different times of the day. They have a main building which serves as reception and restaurant and two other one story buildings with the rooms.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable.
The restaurant in the main building called Agave is run by a Mexican chef, and the food was delicious in a Mexican-Icelandic fusion menu style. The breakfast buffet was good too.
The staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk and in the restaurant.
Great value for your money and we recommend staying there!

Cons:

The bathroom in our room was somewhat small and not totally comfortable.
