Very good overall
Pros:

So, the location is fine and the rooms are spacious, clean with a large bed and strong shower. Staff were lovely and helpful.

What was disappointing - and this feeling was widespread amongst our group -and others - was the breakfast which at the end of our tour of NZ was one of the worst - no orange juice, no cold meats or cheese !, yoghurt that was “thin” and only a mixed fruit pieces bowl (as opposed to a choice of fruit to add to your yoghurt), no offer of eggs cooked to your choice - just scrambled - baked beans which had been adulterated with some herbs for no apparent reason, only 1 choice of jam, hash browns next to the pastries (which many naturally missed) .. poorly thought out.

Three days’ stay
Pros:

We stayed here twice and on both occasions the room (premier)was lovely in the decor, comfort, cleanliness and the facilities. The staff were very helpful although the self check in is not straightforward and rather impersonable. We had a buffet breakfast one of the days and it was adequate but fairly basic. The gym and laundry were welcome facilities. The hotel is in a good location and quiet overnight.

Always a good experience
Pros:

A gr8 stay as usual. Very comfy beds, rooms are all different shapes, decorated well and very roomy rooms. Clean. Worth the money. Minutes walking distance to Town Hall and Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre. Nice roof top Bar just next door for a L8 drinks. Dinner & Breakfast is good and all in the same building. Staff very helpful.

Fab Airedale
Pros:

Wonderful place to stay. We repeatedly do. Minutes walk away from Town Hall and Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre.
Rooms are exciting Shapes and like mini apartments. Comfy beds. Netflix and wifi.
Gr8 breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Cons:

Bar not open until L8 and closes early.
But Churchill roof top bar next door is wonderful

Friendly and helpful staff
Pros:

Nice hotel, about 20 mins walk from the Waterfront. The room was large and they had really thought about the guest experience including a sachet of laundry soap in the room for the guest laundry. The staff were all extremely helpful, efficient and friendly so we really enjoyed our stay
