Er was een gelegenheid om een drankje en een hapje te kopen bij het zwembad, maar wij hebben daar nauwelijks bediening gezien. Wat maakte dat het erg stil was, maar voor ons te ongezellig.

La chambre, la sdb étaient vraiment petites.

L’accueil est réalisé par 2 sœurs. Celle qui gérait l’hôtel est très professionnelle. L’autre sœur responsable du magasin et du petit déjeuner est limite désagréable. Elle m’a répondu « je m’en fou »à une question que je lui ai posé. Dommage car elle sape tout le travail de sa sœur.

Customer Service! The manager was quite abrupt on our arrival as we were late checking in (I did communicate our arrival through Booking.com, but apparently this wasn't passed to the hotel), but I think a hotel manager from a small hotel could make the effort to reach out to upcoming guests to find out their arrival times directly. She did warm up to her guests after a few days, but was not often present herself.

The pool bar doesn't serve much and the young guy there every day could not have cared less about service and was often absent, so no food or drinks could be ordered. The food choices were very limited and the time it took to do even a toasted cheese sandwich was in the end quite laughable (40mins at best).

The rooms were small and very noisy, and my bed was very uncomfortable, it squeaked when I breathed and I could feel every spring in it, even when I asked for a 2nd duvet to sleep on I could still feel the poor mattress. The pillows were also very poor and thin, despite me having 3 of them. Good hotel if you like to go to bed early and rise early, as I was woken every morning by the light coming through the shutters (could do with black out blinds), slamming doors, heels clicking down the corridor, voices yelling....you name it. The doors are not sound proof that's for sure!

Our balcony (we were on the ground floor), had a big lemon tree outside it but it didn't block out the very close hotel balconies opposite it, therefore we didn't use the balcony once. The hotel opposite upstairs and down could see straight into our room, so we kept the blind closed when inside.

The room was basic and the hot plates for cooking were very old and kicked off a lot of burning smoke when trying to toast bread on a frying pan (a toaster in the room would have been good). Thankfully we weren't going to try and cook a decent dinner there, but it sufficed for toasting bread and boiling eggs.
