- Not being able to sleep can ruin your entire trip.
- Nobody answers the phone, and the messaging system is apparently only for automated messages.
- Calling it “AI” they use in their chat system is quite a stretch. It has very little to do with intelligence — even Copilot seems considerably smarter.
I specifically requested and was assured a quiet room, yet I was placed right next to the laundry room. The washing machines were clearly audible in my room, while the dryer was extremely loud, almost tractor-like. Guests were using it during the night, and there was also significant noise from the pipes.
I had raised my concerns by message, but nobody responded. After I left, I was told I could have been given another room had they known. Unfortunately, polite apologies afterwards, similar to the standard responses to other reviews, don't really help.

We paid a premium for a Studio room with a double bed, deliberately choosing it over the cheaper Single and Compact options because we wanted the space and amenities described. What we were given was a bait-and-switch.

The listing promises a kitchenette with a fridge, kitchenware, microwave, and tea/coffee maker, plus a seating area, dining area, and city views. We got none of it. No microwave. No kitchenware. No seating. No dining area. No view — just a small window facing a wall. The room was also visibly dirty, with marks on the walls and dust throughout.

The "double bed" was two mismatched single beds of different heights, pushed together, with separate duvets. The whole bed was rammed against one wall with less than 100mm of clearance on the other side — you cannot get in or out without climbing over furniture. It was so cramped it felt more like a corridor than a room. We didn't sleep a single hour.

We flagged this to staff immediately. Their solution was to admit no other rooms were available, then offer a transfer the next day — useless, since we'd already lost the night and had zero confidence anything would improve. We packed up and paid out of pocket for a different hotel.

When we complained afterwards, management's "goodwill gesture" was a 20% refund on one night. On a four-night stay. That's roughly 5% of what we paid, for a room that was unusable from the moment we walked in.

This isn't a case of a room "feeling a bit smaller than expected." It's a room that shares almost nothing with its own listing — not the bed, not the amenities, not the space, not the view. If you're booking based on the Studio description or photos, don't. You will not get what you're paying for. In years of travelling, I've never had a stay go this badly, or been handled this poorly afterwards.

The room is advertised as an Original Studio - Kitchenette 18m2 but never did we imagine that it would be less that 170cm wide! It bore NO resemblance to any of the photos and was actually quite awkward getting in and out of the double bed and getting to the window which was behind the bed head. With the kitchenette equipment and and the table and chairs along one wall, it left very little room to manoevre around each other. I daresay if there was only one person in the room it would be fine. However if getting in and out of bed could be an issue for you, be very careful when booking this place. We do not have any mobility issues but it was still difficult.

I tried to discuss this with Bob W but all communication is online which I'm sure works well if there is no issues, but sometimes it is good just to speak to someone. I felt the entire time that I was just being fobbed off by a chatbot. I was told that all the information was on the listing, which it was, but as NONE of the photos indicate that this is one possible layout, I don't think it was unreasonable of us to be disappointed.

The bed was a little soft. The room was small but was advertised as such. Not a complaint, just compact means compact!
