Lovely luxury feel in a small well-located hotel
Pros:

The location close to the museum and shops, the intimate feel and the kindness of the staff. Definite order the Oriental breakfast rather than the Continental breakfast - you won’t be disappointed!

Exquisite hotel, wonderful staff. An oasis of sublime calm in chaotic downtown
Pros:

Mazeed Balad is a sublime oasis of quiet, stylish and elegant calm in the sea of chaos and noise that is downtown Cairo. Our room was probably one of the best I've ever stayed in. Quiet, comfy, and beautifully appointed and finished. The staff are charming, helpful and efficient. Breakfast, once it arrived, was delicious and worth the wait. The hotel offers 2 choices; a continental breakfast and an oriental (read Egyptian) breakfast. Both are delicious and plentiful. Probably one of the best boutique hotels in the world.

Super emplacement, hôtel magnifique, personnel adorable
Pros:

L’emplacement
La beauté du lieu ( accueil, réception, chambre)
La gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel de la réception++++

Cons:

Les chambres n’ont pas de vue ( un peu sombres)
Absence de lobby ou d’endroit où s’isoler pour travailler ( pas de bureau dans la chambre)

From the moment we arrived, we could feel that this wasn’t just another hotel—it was an experience. Every room has its own unique story and character, making the stay feel incredibly special and authentic. The attention to detail in the design, the atmosphere, and the preservation of the history behind the building is simply outstanding.

The location couldn’t be better. You’re surrounded by countless cafés, restaurants, historical landmarks, and beautiful streets to explore, making it the perfect base for discovering the area on foot.

What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible hospitality. A very special thank you to Youmna and Iman at the reception. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the very first moment. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. They were always happy to help, gave excellent recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors.

It’s rare to find a place where the hotel itself is as memorable as the destination, but Mazeej Balad Boutique Hotel has achieved exactly that. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a stay that’s full of charm, history, and exceptional hospitality.

Excellent memorable stay. Highly recommend
Pros:

Excellent location, great value at the price that I got it for. Really helpful staff and fantastic rooftop breakfast. Lovely art everywhere and truly is such a special boutique hotel. Secure and safe. Each room is different from another.

Cons:

Perhaps just a little slow in responding to emails but a minor issue.

Cons:

For a very expensive hotel, it has few hotel facilities- nowhere to sit, no dedicated bar.
TERRible breakfast which included leftovers from previous day. The room was comfortable though no closely door on the toilet. It felt like a fashionable rooftop bar with rooms rather than a luxury hotel

Stunning rooms. Beautiful rooftop but disappointing food/drink.
Pros:

The rooms are stunning. So spacious and each one unique. The hotel staff were really helpful and did everything they could to ensure a comfortable stay

Cons:

The rooftop restaurant looks amazing but it's only surface level. The service here was terrible, the drinks and snacks weren't great but the main disappointment was the breakfast they served. It wasn't up to the standard you'd expect for a boutique hotel or the cost of the stay.

Mitten im alten Kairo gibt es wohl keine bessere Unterkunft🙏🏼

DIE OASE mitten im Chaos von Kairo!!!
Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist geschmacksvoll, liebevoll, coool und modern!
Matratze, Bettwäsche ist beste Qualität

Cons:

Die Fenster können den Lärm der Strasse nicht abhalten! Es ist bis 0.2Uhr nachts so laut, dass man nicht ohne Ohrschutz schlafen kann..
Die Kairoer hupen jede Sekunde und die Hunde bellen!

Das Hotel muss besser gepflegt werden, sodass es auch im 2Jahren noch ein Ort ist „wo man gerne hinkommt!“…
