The location and parking
The room was not clean and smelled like smoke.
The beautiful half functional neon sign. And the name.could be a nice vintage motel.
no toilet roll holder, filthy bathroom- dirt and hair everywhere.had to clean tub and can. Bed bugs but no sheets or blankets on the stained mattresses, just outdated bedspreads. beyond that the walls needed a sandblasting and a coat of paint.it looked like spit and smeared godknowswhat all over.but do love the sign so time to change the bulb in the apache head and clean up the shit already. I paid around too much for the room Very bizarre place.
Nasty
Noisy, dirty and old
I did not like the property
There was hair on my bed. The bathroom was disgusting. The doors and walls were very nasty. The sheets had stains on them. No one had cleaned the room.
Close to my destination
No TV remote so no tv, No way to change temperature of room, smelled bad.
It was rehabbed a couple of years ago and tastefully updated for a 50’s motel. It is the most updated along the compared of quite a few options on the N Lincoln Ave strip that is family owned. So it was a really good value! It was clean! The bed was very comfortable, it was fairly quiet.
The staff which are a family were nice, and professional for the most part. They lived above our room and had a few arguments. And they had loud conversations a few times outside on the steps. They also ran the vacuum at late hours of the night. They need to be more considerate for the guests that are close to the living quarters up front. Some plaster was getting bubble and falling off in the bathroom due to moisture. But it was clean and everything worked.
Accommodations exceeded expectations, nicely updated room, interiors were surprising for what is obviously an old motel.
The woman at the front desk who checked me in was pleasant and helpful as could be with offering ways to get to a CTA station. Really great customer service.
Nothing, amazing value for the money with great accommodating service. I will be back. Don't live too far - next to O'Hare in Rosemont but when I want to spend a weekend in Chicago this will be my go-to.
