The location for the meals, starting with breakfast is beautiful, in the corridors or a large, inner patio (around which the 10 rooms of the Hotel are located). The breakfast was very nicely served and the staff was very felixible with our dietary needs. Wewere very pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the place. There is a great walk through the large food garden, a forested area, and of course the coffee tree area. The place was quiet but we met one of the owners and the staff plus some guests, a very nice experience overall. (We learned quite a bit about coffee and its processing).
We arrived when it was already getting dark, and it wasn't easy for us to find the exact location and entrance. Better signaling would help (including on the main road, the PanAmerican Highway).
The staff, everyone from the amazing kitchen crew who delivered excellent meals to the reception staff who accommodated every request with a smile. This hotel was the right choice. We came for one night and stayed three.
Nothing
When we arrived at the hotel mid afternoon we were told the kitchen was closed because they had a big wedding the next day. This hotel is very remote and there is nowhere else to eat
All of the staff were busy preparing for that ignoring us and making lots of noise. If they knew they had a big event coming up why did they accept our reservation. This is not an authentic colonial hacienda. It was built only about 25 years ago. There were cockroaches and mosquitoes in the room but the staff didn't care when we complained saying they were too busy getting ready for the wedding.
El sitio es muy lindo , todo especialmente cuidado y organizado para tu comodidad . El personal excelente , atención muy personalizada . Tranquilidad total.
The place looks great.
We booked, received a confirmation. When we arrived we were informed by a young girl at the gate that there was no one in the hotel. We were let in and drove to the hotel. There was indeed no one there. We rang the number and we could hear it ringing inside. The hotel was all locked up. Eventually it was confirmed that everyone had gone home and that the Boss had a day off.
Warning.... If you book here, ring them. If they don't answer, don't waste your time going (1 hour round trip from popayan), they went home.
Es un lugar surrealista, un paraíso inimaginable en un lugar inimaginable
Beautiful location near to a paved road. 80 year old hacienda. Lovely staff, nice room.
We were the only paying guests there. Nothing really much to do once there. I really think they need to market the property a bit more and maybe have a tv/reading lounge for guests to use. The addition of a hot tub would be a great idea. It was a bit like a ghost town. Also, not that we would use them, there are no robes or slippers as mentioned on Booking.com profile. We were asked to also take dinner at 6pm and make our selections at check in. Also, they need to add some photos of the room!!
